What to do if you have a false pregnancy

A married woman’s pregnancy can make the family very happy because it means welcoming the arrival of a new life. Some women are anxious to get pregnant, so they may experience symptoms of false pregnancy, and only find out after examination that they are not pregnant. What should you do if you have a false pregnancy? False pregnancy in women is caused by psychological, physical and other problems. Let me tell you what false pregnancy is.

1. What is a false pregnancy?

False pregnancy, as the name suggests, is not a real pregnancy. Women with pseudopregnancy experience physical symptoms similar to those of pregnancy, such as amenorrhea, nausea and vomiting, abdominal distension, and even conscious fetal movement, but they are not actually pregnant. If a woman undergoes an ultrasound examination, a woman with false pregnancy will not be able to see any pregnancy inside or outside the uterus under ultrasound. The causes of false pregnancy include psychological factors and disease factors. Causes of false pregnancy include:

1. Pseudo-pregnancy caused by psychological factors: Psychological pressure is the main cause of pseudo-pregnancy. This is mainly because some women are very eager to get pregnant but have not yet done so. This psychological state causes them to suffer from excessive mental stress, which causes them to unconsciously experience some pregnancy-like symptoms. The nausea, vomiting and other symptoms that occur at this time are physiological changes caused by psychological reasons. Normally, women with false pregnancy do not experience an increase in chorionic gonadotropin. If you properly divert your attention and let go of your mental burden, the symptoms of false pregnancy will disappear.

2. False pregnancy caused by disease factors: Some women may experience false pregnancy due to disease. A common disease is systemic lupus erythematosus. Women with this disease will experience an increase in the concentration of chorionic gonadotropin in the blood, resulting in nausea, vomiting and other symptoms similar to those in early pregnancy. However, an ultrasound examination revealed no signs of pregnancy, but chorionic gonadotropin was present in the blood. If the pseudopregnancy is caused by lupus erythematosus, a referral to an internal medicine doctor for a detailed examination is usually recommended.

Therefore, it is recommended that female friends can avoid the occurrence of false pregnancy through regular prenatal examinations. If women with infertility symptoms want to have a baby, they can go to a professional hospital for targeted treatment. In addition, whether you are pregnant should be based on the results of formal tests conducted in a professional hospital. Do not make random guesses or draw blind "conclusions".

2. What should I do if a false pregnancy occurs?

First of all, you should know that it is inaccurate to rely solely on the menstrual cycle to identify pregnancy. Sometimes menstruation may be delayed for a long time or some diseases may cause menstrual disorders. If a woman has delayed menstruation and is preparing for pregnancy, she can monitor the pregnancy with an early pregnancy test. If the test shows that she is not pregnant and her menstruation is delayed, she can go to the hospital for a check-up to see if the menstrual irregularities are caused by endocrine disorders.

Women who are planning to have a baby should ensure rich nutrition and adequate sleep. In addition, they should not rush into preparing for a baby. A healthy and stable mentality is very important. If they are always in a state of tension and anxiety, the hormones in their body will be affected, and they will be prone to symptoms of false pregnancy.
