How to do pelvic B-ultrasound

The current medical level is developing very fast, so many diseases can be discovered in time through examinations, which reduces the chance of lesions and ensures the health of patients. Women have a high chance of gynecological diseases and need to be examined by B-ultrasound. There are two types of B-ultrasound: pelvic B-ultrasound and vaginal B-ultrasound. Pelvic B-ultrasound can examine the uterus, so how to do pelvic B-ultrasound?

First, how to do pelvic B-ultrasound? The purpose of pelvic B-ultrasound examination. Its purpose is to check for uterine tumors, uterine malformations, endometriosis, ovarian tumors, pelvic inflammatory masses or abscesses, etc. During the examination, the person being examined should pull down his or her pants to expose his or her lower abdomen. The examiner will place the ultrasound probe on the lower abdomen to observe the condition inside the pelvic cavity. The results will be available immediately after the examination.

Second, the comparison between pelvic B-ultrasound and vaginal B-ultrasound. It was mentioned earlier that gynecological B-ultrasound examinations are divided into pelvic B-ultrasound and vaginal B-ultrasound, so what is the difference between them? When performing vaginal B-ultrasound, it is easy to cause infection because of the intervention of instruments. Moreover, vaginal B-ultrasound is more sensitive to the uterus, cervix and endometrium. If it is something on the ovaries, it is more advantageous to use pelvic B-ultrasound. At the same time, pelvic B-ultrasound can also check whether there is fluid accumulation in the pelvis. In general, pelvic B-ultrasound examination has a wide range and can basically detect all problems of the gynecological reproductive system, with a high rate of exclusion of patients.

Third, precautions for pelvic B-ultrasound. If you want the results to be more accurate and not cause any harm to your body, you need to pay attention to the precautions. Remember to expose your lower abdomen during the examination, so it is best to wear pants or a skirt to make it easier to undress. You need to drink about 1000 ml of water half an hour to one hour before the examination and hold your urine as much as possible. Because only when the bladder is full to a certain extent can the uterus be squeezed from the deep pelvic cavity to the lower abdomen, and the uterus and ovaries can be clearly observed using B-ultrasound, so it is best to carry a water bottle with you to replenish water in time.

Pelvic B-ultrasound is a type of gynecological B-ultrasound, which can be used to detect uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts and other diseases at an early stage. The examination process is not very complicated and it is the recommended method for many gynecological examinations. However, you should also pay attention to who is not suitable for it and get checked under the doctor's advice.
