Color of female secretion

Color of female secretion

The female body is a complex situation because every woman produces discharge. Especially for married women, because they have sexual life after marriage, they may suffer from gynecological inflammatory diseases. Then women should pay attention to changes in their secretions. Under normal circumstances, there should be leucorrhea, which should be colorless and odorless. But what is the color of girls’ secretions?

What is normal vaginal discharge?

Clear but slimy

When the discharge is clear but slimy, it's healthy and your body is ovulating. If you want to get pregnant at this time, have sex as soon as possible so that you can have a baby in one go. If you don't plan to get pregnant, remember to take contraceptive measures.

Viscous and bubbly

Vaginal discharge may be a yeast infection, which can also occur in men and is more likely to occur in the throat and mouth. If it is a vaginal infection, it can be treated with antifungal drugs.

Yellowish green

When the secretion is green, it is a sign of infection because the white blood cells in your body are fighting bacteria, and the signal of the battle is this yellow-green thick fluid. You need to seek medical attention in time and see a doctor for examination. If you are infected with a sexually transmitted disease, don't forget to check your partner as well.

Blood or brown

If there is bloody or brown discharge outside of menstruation, it may be that the menstrual period is not completely discharged. However, if you are a middle-aged or elderly woman who has already stopped menstruating, you should pay special attention to it, as it may be a precursor to uterine cancer or ovarian cancer.

Leucorrhea with odor

If your underwear smells bad after wearing it for a day, it may be caused by candida or bacterial infection, which leads to an imbalance of vaginal acid and alkali. You need to see a doctor for examination and receive treatment according to the doctor's advice after relevant examinations.

Off-white

Normal vaginal discharge ranges in color from clear to milky white, so there is no need to worry too much. However, there are exceptions. If there is itching or the discharge suddenly changes from clear to turbid, it may be a bacterial infection. In addition, if there are couples who are preparing to have a baby, they can pay special attention to possible signs of pregnancy and don't forget to get a check-up.

Gray black

When gray-black discharge appears in vaginal discharge, you need to be alert! There may be foreign objects left in the vagina, such as a tampon that was forgotten to be removed. There is a risk of toxic shock and you need to seek medical attention immediately. However, a possible exception is that residual dirty blood or dyes from low-quality underwear may affect the color of vaginal discharge.

Pink

Pink discharge means you have light bleeding, which may occur during pregnancy or after sex due to slight damage to the vaginal wall caused by friction.
