Does drinking alcohol have any effect when using test strips?

The issue of pregnancy for women is very important. Some women usually use test strips to test when they are not sure whether they are pregnant. However, because everyone's living habits are different, some women may drink alcohol. But the reason should be work-related social events or other compelling needs. But does using the test strips have any effect after drinking alcohol?

Taking an early pregnancy test after drinking alcohol has no effect on the diagnosis results. On the sixth day after fertilization, trophoblast cells begin to secrete trace amounts of human chorionic gonadotropin, which can be measured in the mother's serum 10 days after fertilization, making it the most sensitive method for diagnosing early pregnancy.

Early pregnancy test strips are products that help women detect whether they are pregnant. They can only be used as an initial screening test and may result in false positives or false negatives. Instructions for use: Drop urine into the detection hole on the test paper. If a colored band appears in the control area of the test paper (some test papers appear red, some test papers appear blue), it indicates a negative result, indicating that you are not pregnant. On the contrary, if a clear colored band appears in the detection area, it indicates a positive result, indicating that you are pregnant.

principle

The detection reagent uses the principle of immunochromatographic double antibody sandwich method to make HCG detection test strips, which can measure HCG in urine samples within 3 minutes. During the test, when the urine sample is siphoned through the colloidal gold-labeled antibody, an antigen-antibody colloidal gold complex is formed. The complex continues to crawl and passes through the coated anti-HCGα subunit Mcab to form a double antibody sandwich colloidal gold complex, which appears as a color band at the coating line. The excess colloidal gold antibody continues to crawl and forms a colloidal gold immune complex with the sheep anti-mouse control line, which appears as a color band. The HCG colloidal gold test kit uses a double antibody sandwich one-step technology and colloidal gold as an indicator marker to detect the HCG concentration in urine to confirm whether a woman is pregnant. The test strip is a reliable indicator to assist clinical determination of pregnancy. Human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) is a glycoprotein hormone produced by the placenta of pregnant women. The early pregnancy test strips use double antibody sandwich one-step technology and colloidal gold as an indicator marker to detect the HCG concentration in urine to confirm whether a woman is pregnant.

Urine sample

1 This reagent uses human urine as the test sample.

2 Collect urine in a clean container. Urine within a day can be tested. It is recommended to use urine after waking up in the morning.

3 After collecting urine, if it cannot be used immediately, it should be refrigerated. The shelf life is 6-8 hours.

method

1. Use a disposable urine cup or clean container to collect urine.

2. Tear open the aluminum foil bag along the cut and take out the test paper for testing.

3. Strip type: Dip the end of the test paper with the arrow mark into the container containing the urine sample to be tested

(The urine sample is not allowed to exceed the MAX line), take it out and lay it flat after about 3 seconds.

Card type: Use a pipette to draw 0.2mL (3-4 drops) of the urine sample to be tested into the sample addition area.

Pen type: Remove the cap and let the urine pour directly onto the sample area while urinating, and maintain the urine collection time for 3 seconds (Please note: Do not let the urine exceed the arrow to prevent the urine from wetting the test area and affecting the test results).

4. Observe the test results in the test area: observe the test results within 5-10 minutes. Color development within 40 seconds is strongly positive.

Positive: Color bands appear on both the upper and lower ends of the test strip, indicating pregnancy.

Negative: Only a purple-red band appears on the upper end of the test strip and no band appears on the lower end, indicating that you are not pregnant.

Invalid: No ribbon appears. This indicates that the test strip has expired.
