1. Where does the water below come from?

Some of it is secreted by the cervical glands, some comes from the vaginal wall, and a small part is secreted by the endometrial glands and the large glands on both sides of the vaginal opening.

2. What on earth are those things that are on the panties?

There are some epithelial cells that have fallen off the vaginal mucosa, secretions from the sebaceous glands of the labia minora, a large number of vaginal bacilli (scientific name: Gram-positive lactobacilli), and a small number of white blood cells... there are probably more than twenty kinds of microorganisms.

3. I don’t like the look of this thing, nor do I like its smell. Can I get rid of it?

No, because every woman needs it. The acidic environment in the vaginal cavity can prevent foreign pathogens from surviving and multiplying. This is the “vaginal self-cleaning function” that you may have heard so many times that your ears are callused but you may not truly understand it.

4. The discharge seems to be particularly heavy during the days in the middle of the menstrual cycle. Is it because ovulation is approaching?

That's right. During the ovulation period, the cervical endometrial glandular cells secrete vigorously. The secretions are very similar to thin, transparent egg white. They can even be stretched for several centimeters without breaking, and are very elastic. This situation will no longer be seen after ovulation. About 2 days before your period, your pelvic cavity starts to become congested and vaginal secretions increase again, sometimes with a little blood in them, as if to remind you that it's time to prepare sanitary napkins.

5. In addition to menstruation, what other factors can affect it?

There are so many reasons that you may not even imagine, such as birth control pills, antibiotics, allergies, illness, pregnancy, childbirth, menstrual products, lack of sleep, unbalanced nutrition, mood swings and even stress!
