Vulva swelling and pain are quite common in life. The female vulva is a very important part and also a relatively delicate part. If there are some accidental injuries or infections, it may cause swelling and pain. For example, if the sexual life is rough, or if personal hygiene is not paid attention to, or if some gynecological diseases are caused, etc., such phenomenon may occur. Why are my labia majora swollen and painful? When a woman feels discomfort, itching and pain in the vulva, this is a manifestation of vulvar redness, swelling and pain. These symptoms may appear simultaneously on the skin of the vulva, and the mucous membrane may experience varying degrees of swelling and congestion, and in severe cases, erosion and ulcers may form. There are many reasons that cause redness, swelling and pain in the female vulva, such as folliculitis, Bartholin's glanditis, vulvar furuncle and so on. Vaginal inflammation, fungal and mycoplasma infection can cause redness, swelling and stinging of the vulva. Because the vulva is close to the urethra and anus, and is rubbed by the legs during movement, various inflammations can affect the vulva. Female vulvitis, vaginitis, leukoplakia of the vulva, local friction irritation and other reasons are also important factors leading to redness, swelling and stinging of the vulva. In addition, the specific causes of vulvar leukoplakia are as follows: 1. Trauma (birth injury). During childbirth, the perineum of pregnant women may be torn, causing local nerve and blood vessel damage. A small number of women may develop vulvar leukoplakia as a result, which is one of the causes of vulvar leukoplakia. 2. Genetics. About 10~30% of patients with vulvar leukoplakia are caused by genetics. Genetically caused vulvar leukoplakia is mainly atrophic type, and the patients are mainly young girls. In clinical practice, the first thing to pay attention to for patients under 15 years old is genetic factors, and inquire whether there are patients with vulvar leukoplakia in their parents' family. 3. Inflammation. It causes local nerve and blood vessel damage, and a small number of parturients suffer from inflammations such as trichomoniasis vaginitis, candidal vaginitis, cervical erosion, etc., which causes increased vulvar secretions and leucorrhea degeneration. Long-term irritation to the vulva can cause vulvar leukoplakia. In clinical practice, (Quyanling) and other symptomatic drugs are given. 4. Endocrine disorders. Through the determination of tritium (H3) labeled thymidine, it is believed that there is a protein hormone in the dermis that can inhibit the division and growth of epidermal cells and only acts locally on the epidermis with tissue specificity, called inhibin, which causes an imbalance between local connective tissue hyperplasia and the stimulation of epidermal metabolism there. |
