How to eliminate breast lumps during lactation

Many breastfeeding mothers are troubled by breast lumps. These breast lumps will not only cause pain to the mothers, but also may affect their own milk secretion, so the baby's nutritional source is not guaranteed. Therefore, mothers who have breast lumps during breastfeeding are very anxious. So how to eliminate breast lumps during breastfeeding?

If a lump appears in the mother's breast during breastfeeding, she must pay attention to breast care. If the lump is not very obvious, it is recommended to use hot compress to relieve it. Mothers can cover the breasts with hot towels for heat application, which can promote breast blood circulation and thus quickly remove lumps in the breasts.

If the lump in the breast is relatively large and has symptoms such as fever and suppuration, you need to seek medical treatment immediately. In this case, mastitis may have occurred. If necessary, an incision can be made on the breast to artificially drain the pus in the breast, and then surgery and suture can be performed to heal faster.

The lumps in the breasts during breastfeeding are related to milk stasis. If you want the breast lumps to disappear as soon as possible, you must pay attention to draining the breasts. Every time you breastfeed your baby, the mother should make sure to empty the milk from one breast before feeding the baby from the other breast. This will not only remove the lumps, but also allow the baby to eat more nutritious milk.

During lactation, milk sometimes accumulates in the breasts, causing lumps in the breasts that are very painful. If the lumps continue to accumulate and are not resolved, more serious symptoms may occur. So how should we deal with this situation? Let me talk about my work experience below, it's very useful! Mothers who have this kind of inconvenience must use it.

1

Preparation. First prepare a cotton towel and boiling water.

2

Apply hot compress. After soaking the towel in boiling water, while it is as hot as possible, use the hot towel to cover the breast with the lump with the lump as the center, making sure to cover both the lump and the nipple. When covering the breast with a hot cotton towel, gently massage it to soften the lumps in the breast.

3

Massage. After getting the pure cotton towel, massage the lump with the middle thumb, ring finger and the fingertips of the right ring finger. At this time, the lump may still be a little hard, but it's okay, just try again.

4

Repeated hot compress and massage. Soak the towel in hot water, apply heat again, and massage at the same time, repeat the above three steps until you feel the area around the lump softens slightly.

5

tidy. Brush olive oil or cooking oil on the breast, use your fingers to comb along the lump towards the nipple, or use a wooden comb, but a wooden comb cannot feel the changes of the lump as clearly as your hands. It is recommended to comb with force to better control the amplitude. Don't be afraid of pain during the trimming process, because this part is important for connecting to the mammary glands.

6

Repeatedly apply heat, massage and organize. After a few minutes of infusion, wipe the olive oil off the breast with a handkerchief, and then cover it with a hot cotton towel and massage. The hot compress, massage and finishing last for half an hour.

7

The baby is breastfeeding. After the last hot compress, clean the nipples and let the baby feed. When the baby is breastfeeding, press the lump hard and rub it hard. After the baby sucks for a while, the blocked mammary gland will gradually become unblocked.
