HCG is a hormone in the human body. You can use this hormone to determine whether you are pregnant. After a woman becomes pregnant, the hCG value in her body usually rises rapidly. Therefore, hCG is very important for pregnant women after they become pregnant. Generally speaking, the hCG value is different at different stages of pregnancy. However, hCG increases significantly after pregnancy. What is the hCG value before pregnancy? What is the hcg value when not pregnant? The normal value of blood HCG is <10μg/L. The absolute value of serum HCG varies greatly at different stages of pregnancy and between pregnant women. People are different and there is no comparability. They can only be compared within themselves. Generally, non-pregnant women: blood HCG <100IU/L. During the first 3 months of pregnancy, HCG levels approximately double every 2.2±0.5 days. HCG is a specific hormone secreted during pregnancy, so early diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy can be determined by testing blood hCG. Under normal pregnancy conditions, the amount of hCG secreted by the villi is very large, and the daily titer will continue to rise rapidly, increasing by more than 66% every 48 hours. However, in the case of ectopic pregnancy, due to the thin muscle layer of the fallopian tube and poor blood supply, the secretion of hCG is very low. The daily appreciation is small, usually less than 50% in 48 hours. (But for some people the initial HCG rise is normal). If the increase in β-HCG is greater than 66% every two days, it can be diagnosed as an intrauterine pregnancy; if the increase is less than 66%, there is a high possibility of ectopic pregnancy or intrauterine pregnancy hypoplasia. After a woman becomes pregnant, an increase in β-HCG can be detected in her blood from the 9th to 11th day, and the amount of β-HCG can double every two days thereafter (even if there is threatened miscarriage, the increase rate of hCG will not change). For example, if today's value is 234, if the test result the day after tomorrow is around 450, it can be considered as normal intrauterine pregnancy. If hcg is difficult to confirm, blood progesterone can be used for auxiliary diagnosis. Function of hCG 1. It has the functions of FSH and LH, maintains the life of the menstrual corpus luteum, and enlarges the menstrual corpus luteum into the corpus luteum of pregnancy; 2. Promote the aromatization of androgens into estrogen and stimulate the formation of progesterone; 3. Inhibit the stimulation of plant lectins on lymphocytes. Human chorionic gonadotropin can be adsorbed on the surface of trophoblast cells to prevent embryonic trophoblast cells from being attacked by maternal lymphocytes; 4. It has LH-like function. Before the fetal pituitary gland secretes LH, it stimulates the fetal testicles to secrete testosterone to promote male sexual differentiation. It can also promote gonadal development, stimulate the activity of interstitial cells in the testicles in men, and increase the secretion of androgen (testosterone). It is of great significance for the treatment of male patients with combined pituitary deficiency. It can not only promote gonadal development and the secretion of male hormones, but also promote the development of secondary sexual characteristics. 5. It can bind to the TSH receptor of maternal thyroid cells and stimulate thyroid activity. |
