Progesterone p reference value

Progesterone p reference value

Generally speaking, women's hormones will change during pregnancy. For example, the levels of estrogen and estrogens will continue to rise, while the levels of androgens will decrease significantly. However, most expectant mothers are not very familiar with these data, so under normal circumstances, what is the standard value of progesterone value p?

How much is the standard value of progesterone value p

Progesterone value p, also known as HCG, refers to the body's hcg gonadotropin, which is the most commonly used pregnancy test hormone by obstetricians and gynecologists and nurses. Generally speaking, the progesterone level p is below the standard value: 5.0U/L1 in non-pregnant blood, >100mU/ml1>100U/L1 in 30 days of pregnancy, >2000MU/ml1>2000U/L1 in 40 days of pregnancy, 50-100U/ml150-100kU/L1 in 10 weeks of pregnancy, 10-20U/ml110-25kU/L1 in 14 weeks of pregnancy.

What are the harms of progesterone value being too high or too low?

1. Affect ovulation and reduce the chance of pregnancy. Injecting large amounts of progesterone is helpful in preventing ovulation, because progesterone can delay the shedding of the uterine membrane (IVF), and the thick fluid it produces will also block sperm from reaching the uterus and fallopian tubes, thereby reducing the chance of pregnancy.

2. Affects fertility. Theoretically, progesterone is required for the fusion of egg cells and sperm to produce test tube embryos, because during the reproductive process, progesterone helps stimulate uterine morphology, and can increase uterine blood vessels and tissue blood flow, and then promote embryonic development, so that the egg cells are released from the uterus and adhere to the uterus. If the progesterone level drops significantly in early pregnancy, it may cause miscarriage.

In fact, many expectant mothers have only a vague understanding of terms such as progesterone index or even do not understand them at all, but it does not matter. If there is a problem in the prenatal examination, the doctor will generally tell you, especially when you need to take some medicine for treatment. If the doctor says that the prenatal examination is normal, then there is no problem.
