Why do girls have itchy armpits?

Girls like to wear cool and beautiful clothes in summer, but armpit hair really affects their appearance. Therefore, many ladies will remove their armpit hair regularly in the summer. There are many sweat glands and lymph nodes in the armpits. If you are not careful, it will easily lead to armpit allergies. The most common cause of armpit allergies is the depilatory cream, which is extremely itchy and makes women very embarrassed. But it's not just allergies that can cause armpit itching, there are other reasons as well. Explain in detail what causes itchy armpits in girls.

1. Eczema

In the acute stage of axillary eczema, you can choose to use dexamethasone ointment or fluocinolone ointment. These two ointments are very effective in the acute stage of eczema. However, since they are hormonal ointments, they are not recommended for use when symptoms are mild. You can use calamine lotion and other drugs that are less irritating to the skin for treatment. You can also choose to use Chinese herbal medicine, such as lithospermum officinale, and decoct it for external washing. You can also take some Western medicines with fewer side effects orally, such as diphenhydramine, phenergan, and cyproheptadine.

2. Infectious folliculitis

The armpits of the human body are in a special position, hidden and moist, so folliculitis is very easy to occur. After folliculitis forms, anti-inflammatory drugs need to be used for treatment in time. Erythromycin ointment, chloramphenicol ointment, ichthyol and other drugs can be applied externally for treatment. The effect will be better if combined with oral amoxicillin tablets, bezoar detoxification tablets and other antibiotics. If there is already an abscess, it is best to go to the hospital for surgical drainage.

3. Irritant dermatitis

The purpose of treating dermatitis is to fight inflammation and relieve itching. Antihistamines, sedatives, etc. can be used, but glucocorticoids are generally not suitable. In the acute phase of dermatitis, intravenous injection of calcium, vitamin C, etc. or intravenous blockade with procaine can be used. For patients with extensive skin lesions and erosion, exudation or secondary infection, antibiotics should be given appropriately. Immunosuppressants including azathioprine, cyclosporine A (CYA) and interferon can be used as appropriate. Dermatitis is relatively stubborn and blind treatment is not advisable. In order to completely cure dermatitis, patients must choose a regular and professional hospital for treatment. Since the course of dermatitis is relatively long, the recovery period of skin lesions also requires a period of time. Patients must adhere to Chinese medicine treatment until dermatitis is completely cured. In order to shorten the treatment time of dermatitis, patients need to cooperate with doctors to do daily care.
