What is the cause of a lump next to the vagina?

A woman's vaginal health is related to her lifelong happiness. Why do I say that? First of all, the vagina is a relatively important organ for women and is closely related to physical health. Secondly, the vagina is a possible passage for childbirth. Third, the vagina is an indispensable tool in sexual life. But some women also face vaginal problems in life. For example, what is the disease of a pimple growing next to the vagina?

Vulvar pseudocondyloma refers to a benign papilloma occurring in the female vaginal mucosa, also known as villous labia minora. The rash looks very similar to early genital warts.

Causes

This disease is an abnormal proliferation of female mucosa and the cause is unknown. There is currently no evidence that the rash is associated with bacterial or fungal infection.

Clinical manifestations

It is more common on the inner side of the labia minora of young women, with symmetrical distribution, and may occasionally involve the vaginal vestibule. Typical lesions are small pink or pearly papules 1-3 mm in diameter, densely arranged and not fused with each other, with a villous or caviar-like appearance and a smooth surface. Sometimes individual larger rashes can be seen, which are polyp-like. There are usually no symptoms or occasional slight itching. Most patients often discover it accidentally and mistake it for genital warts, causing panic.

examine

1. Histopathological examination

No vacuolar cells were found in the epidermis, but the mucosal epithelium showed widespread vacuolar appearance, which were uniform in size, lightly chromatinized, and some nuclei were pyknotic.

2. Acetic acid white test

The acetowhite test was negative.

treat

Usually no treatment is needed; explanation is the main approach. For those who are extremely fearful and strongly demand treatment, cryotherapy and laser treatment can be used in batches.

For those with obvious itching, glucocorticoids can be mixed with polysulfate mucopolysaccharide cream for short-term use, and oral antihistamines can be taken if necessary.
