Frequent urination at 36 weeks of pregnancy

Frequent urination at 36 weeks of pregnancy

During pregnancy, any abnormality in the pregnant woman's body will cause great worry, especially in the middle and late stages of pregnancy, any adverse effects may affect the development of the fetus. Some pregnant women at 36 weeks of pregnancy experience frequent urination, which not only affects their normal life, but also causes fear that the fetus may be affected. So, what is the cause of frequent urination at 36 weeks of pregnancy? Let’s take a closer look at the reasons.

In fact, the problem of frequent urination exists throughout the entire pregnancy, especially in the late pregnancy when frequent urination is the most common. It is caused by the uterus pressing on the bladder and is a sign that the fetus is entering the pelvis.

Other symptoms of pelvic floor in pregnant women

1. The shape of the abdomen changes and enters the pelvis, which means that the baby's fetal position moves downward. Pregnant women will find that the shape of their belly will change, and your abdomen will seem to fall down a little, just like changing from a watermelon to a grapefruit.

2. There is a feeling of falling in the lower abdomen and pain in the genitals. When the fetus moves downward, it will press on the woman's genitals and sacrum. The mother will naturally feel a downward force and slight pressure on the genitals.

3. Irregular uterine contractions are more frequent because the falling fetus stimulates the genitals and other reproductive organs, causing false uterine contractions to occur frequently. Pregnant mothers do not need to be too nervous. It is worth mentioning that if regular uterine contractions occur after the fetus enters the pelvis, you should seek medical attention for delivery.

4. Breathing becomes easier and appetite improves because the fetus enters the pelvis and the fetal position decreases, which reduces the pressure on the diaphragm, lungs, heart, and stomach.

Signs of labor in pregnant women

1. Feeling of relaxation in pregnant women’s abdomen

One to two weeks before delivery, primigravidas often feel their upper abdomen is more comfortable than before, their breathing is lighter, and their appetite increases because the fetal presenting part descends into the pelvis and the fundus of the uterus lowers. Because the presenting part descends and compresses the pelvic bladder, rectum and other tissues, you may often feel a sense of heaviness in the lower abdomen, frequent urination, and back pain.

2. False labor

Pregnant women often have irregular uterine contractions one to two weeks before delivery. Compared with the uterine contractions after delivery, they have the following characteristics: short duration, long intervals, irregularity, no increase in the intensity of uterine contractions, only slight distension and pain caused by uterine contractions and limited to the lower abdomen, and the cervical opening does not expand with them. A small amount of sedatives can suppress this "false contraction".

3. Seeing red

Twenty-four to forty-eight hours before delivery, some mucus mixed with blood will flow out of the vagina, which is called spotting. This is because the lower uterine segment and cervix expand, the nearby fetal membrane and uterine wall separate, the capillaries rupture and bleed, and the bloody mucous secretions are mixed with the mucus in the cervix to form a bloody mucous secretion, which is a relatively reliable sign before delivery.

4. Broken membranes and leakage of amniotic fluid

Commonly known as "water breaking". Due to the strong contraction of the uterus, the pressure in the uterine cavity gradually increases, the cervix opens wider, the fetal head descends, causing the fetal membrane to rupture, and amniotic fluid flows out of the pregnant woman's vagina. At this time, the fetus is not far from being born.
