Pregnant women with candidal vaginitis should first choose antifungal drugs with less toxicity to the fetus. Commonly used drugs include: nystatin tablets or micodin effervescent vaginal tablets or suppositories, clotrimazole tablets (Canestad tablets), and miconazole nitrate suppositories (Daktarin suppositories), all of which can be inserted into the vagina every night before going to bed under the guidance of a doctor. Clotrimazole is the safest and most effective. Topical ointments include clotrimazole ointment and Daktarin ointment, which can be applied to the vulva every day and the vulva can be washed with clean water or Chinese medicine preparations. Pregnant women are prohibited from using oral antifungal drugs or should use them with caution.
