High TSH during pregnancy

High TSH during pregnancy

Pregnant women need to do many prenatal examinations during pregnancy, because these prenatal examinations can help pregnant women to see the normal condition of the fetus in the body. If any indicator does not reach the normal level, it can also be supplemented in time. The TSH value during pregnancy is mainly used to see thyroid diseases of pregnant women. It means thyroid stimulating hormone. So what should I do if the TSH value during pregnancy is high?

High TSH during pregnancy

TSH stands for thyroid stimulating hormone. If TSH exceeds 2.5 in the early stages of pregnancy, it is considered high and further examination is required, including a series of thyroid tests.

If there is a problem with the testosterone level, you need to take medicine for treatment. If it exceeds 2.5, it is abnormal, which means it is hypothyroidism, which will affect the child. You can use Euthyrox for treatment. If it is in the middle of pregnancy, it cannot exceed 3.0. If it exceeds 3.0, you must go to the endocrinology department for drug treatment. You must control TSH within the normal range, otherwise the impact on the fetus will be more obvious.

The tsh data is high, which indicates that there is latent hyperthyroidism. At present, only t3 and t4 are within the normal range, which will not have much impact on the fetus. Continue to supplement with Euthyrox treatment, and you can add a quarter of a tablet to take a total of half, and do a close and regular pregnancy check.

Abnormal thyroid function will affect the amount of thyroid hormone in the body, and thyroid hormone will affect the baby's intellectual development during pregnancy. In severe cases, the baby may be born with congenital hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism.

Go to the endocrinology department for a checkup, check the whole set of thyroid hormones and thyroid B-ultrasound, and see how to adjust the medication in light of the pregnancy.
