Lower abdomen distension and farting in early pregnancy

Lower abdomen distension and farting in early pregnancy

In the early stages of pregnancy, due to certain changes in hormones in women's bodies, some unusual reactions will occur in the body. For example, many women will experience abdominal distension in the early stages of pregnancy. In addition, nausea and vomiting, headaches, fatigue, breast tenderness, and loss of appetite are also some common symptoms in the early stages of pregnancy.

1. Lower abdominal distension

In the early stages of pregnancy, due to changes in the uterus, many new mothers feel a heaviness in their lower abdomen. This is a normal physiological reaction. New mothers should not feel too panicked. The baby is constantly growing, and the pressure it brings is naturally increasing. After the middle stage, the uterus will adapt, and the feeling of heaviness in the lower abdomen will gradually disappear.

2. Nausea and vomiting

Nausea and vomiting during pregnancy is also called "morning sickness" and sometimes "morning sickness" because the nausea is worst in the morning and then gradually eases throughout the day. However, this feeling can also come at any time and last throughout the day.

3. Headache

Tension headaches are common in early pregnancy and usually feel like a pressure-like pain or a constant dull ache on the sides of the head or in the back of the neck. If you've always been prone to tension headaches, your headache symptoms will likely be worse during pregnancy.

4. Fatigue and sleepiness

Pregnancy puts a lot of tension on your body, so you may feel extra tired. Nausea and vomiting can also saps your energy. If you need to get up frequently to go to the bathroom during the night because of frequent urination, your fatigue may be exacerbated by poor sleep.

5. Breast tenderness

Hormonal changes during pregnancy can increase blood flow and cause changes in breast tissue, which may cause your breasts to feel swollen, sore, tingling, and unusually sensitive to the touch. Expectant mothers describe the feeling as being very similar to the breast tenderness they experience before their period, but more intense.

6. Loss of appetite

The dramatic changes in hormone levels during pregnancy have a strong impact on expectant mothers' sense of taste and smell, causing them to lose their appetite, dislike greasy food, and perhaps even have a special preference for certain tastes, such as sour or spicy.
