The nipples are a little white

The nipples are a little white

Some women's nipples may turn white, which means that they have been infected with gynecological diseases. If a woman is breastfeeding during this period, she should not breastfeed her child. When a woman's nipples turn white, she may feel that her nipples are particularly itchy. At this time, do not scratch them with your hands, because the nipples are also relatively fragile. So what is the reason for the white nipples?

Small white bubbles, not blood bubbles

This small translucent white bubble on the nipple is usually about 1 mm in diameter and is located at the opening of the mammary duct. It is usually because the overgrowth of epithelial cells or fat accumulation covers the opening of the milk duct, causing blockage of the milk duct, which may cause a larger area of milk accumulation. This can be said to be a kind of milk knot.

The blood blisters formed due to the baby's incorrect latching and other reasons, such as the friction on the nipple, are brown or red in color and larger in diameter. Although it is painful when the baby sucks, it does not necessarily cause milk blockage.

Treatment of small white bubbles: no pain if the flow is clear

Once small white bubbles are found on the nipples, mothers should deal with them as soon as possible to avoid severe milk accumulation and breast swelling.

The nipple pore is blocked and there is a lump in the entire breast. I look closely at the nipple pore and there are no white spots. What is the reason? I am worried about not having milk and I am still worried about having milk. At this time, you will find that the area around the nipple pore is a little white, and it hurts when the baby sucks.

If milk cannot come out, the white area is milk. The solution is to burn "loofah" (available in Chinese medicine stores) into ashes, mix the ashes and sesame oil into a paste and apply it on the nipple. It can help with unblocking and reducing inflammation. Make sure the baby keeps sucking the breast and it will get better soon.

Apply the medicine after the baby finishes feeding, and wash the nipples with hot water before the next feeding. It may not be washed cleanly, but it doesn’t matter, it is completely harmless to the baby.

Removes dead skin from the nipple surface. Mothers can use warm water to soften the skin on the nipple surface when bathing or wiping their bodies, and then gently rub the nipple surface with a wet towel to remove the softened dead skin. You can also scrape it gently with a clean fingernail. Doing this at least once a day can remove as much dead skin as possible at the opening of the mammary ducts, and some small white bubbles may disappear.

Breastfeed immediately after applying warm compress. Before breastfeeding, use a hot wet towel for hot compress, but be careful not to make it too hot to avoid burning the nipple skin. It only takes a few minutes, and once you feel the heat penetrate your skin, remove the towel immediately and let your baby start sucking in the correct breastfeeding position. If you do it several times a day for a few days, your baby will most likely be able to suck the small white bubbles open.

Ask medical staff to prick the small white blisters. Some mothers think that the above method is too slow and want to burst the small white bubbles directly. In order to avoid infection, it is best to seek help from medical staff. It is very important to disinfect the skin and instruments.

After the small white bubble breaks, cheese-like fat strips may be squeezed out from the opening of the mammary duct, and then normal milk will flow out, indicating that the mammary duct is now unblocked. If there are other blockages deeper in the milk duct, the congestion may not be resolved immediately, but the nipple pain will definitely be relieved a lot.
