What are the methods for removing breast augmentation injections?

Breast augmentation by injection is the most popular technique in micro-plastic surgery, with a series of advantages such as simple operation, short time and significant effect. Everything has two sides, and breast augmentation injections can also bring certain hidden dangers and harm to the body. For many reasons, surgery has to be performed to remove the injected substance. For example, if a previous surgery failed, the failed substance must be removed before injecting a new drug; women who are considering having a baby also need surgery for the health of their baby.

There are currently two main methods for dealing with breast injections: extraction and excision.

Extraction is to dilute the original injection by injecting water into the breast again, and then directly draw it out with a needle. We do not approve of this for the following reasons:

1. It is generally not easy to clean up completely. Even if it is diluted or watered, it is impossible.

2. After the injection enters the body, because there is no capsule, the injection may merge with the human tissue and cannot be extracted.

3. There may be some intervals during injection breast augmentation. The extraction method may extract the injection in one compartment but miss the injection in other compartments, which may make it more difficult to remove and increase the difficulty of the second operation.

4. Improper extraction may also cause infection and lead to other complications.

Cutting is a more commonly used method now, but it does not mean that cutting is the best method and that it can easily remove all the injected substances. The following issues should be paid attention to:

1. A very detailed examination must be done before the operation. In addition to feeling for lumps with your hands, it is best to do a CT scan to clearly see the level, range, and distribution of the injection so that you have a clear idea of the situation. During the operation, the lesion site is opened by comparing with the CT scan and cleared bit by bit.

2. Look straight ahead. You must not use a blind operation like when injecting, as it is too easy to go wrong.

3. Doctors must have sufficient sense of responsibility. Some doctors are irresponsible and deceive patients by removing the soft and easy-to-remove parts and ignoring the rest, causing patients to have to undergo a second surgery. This is very bad.

4. Avoid extremes. It is better not to have surgery that is too destructive. From the patient's perspective, we do not recommend tissue resection unless the tissue has indeed degenerated and is completely necrotic, otherwise we will preserve it as much as possible. Of course, if the injected substance is inseparable from the tissue and cannot be separated like steel bars and concrete, we can perform partial tissue removal without destroying the tissue function.

5. Do not remove the injection and replace the prosthesis immediately. After removing the injection, many women do not want their family and friends to notice, so they ask the doctor to insert a prosthesis immediately without considering their own physical condition. There are several main problems that are prone to occur: A. If a problem occurs, it is difficult to determine exactly where the problem lies; B. The location of breast augmentation injection and the location of prosthesis implantation are often different, and complications such as small bags, displacement, and lumps are prone to occur after the prosthesis is inserted.
