Why do I have back pain when I'm pregnant?

Some pregnant women will experience back pain during pregnancy. Back pain may also be accompanied by waist pain. This is normal. Because of pregnancy, the center of gravity of the woman's entire body will move forward. At this time, the woman's back and lumbar spine may cause a certain burden. It is natural to feel pain if you stay in the same position for a long time. So what is the reason for back pain during pregnancy?

After the second trimester, pregnant women often experience waist and back pain. This is mainly because as the pregnancy progresses, the belly gets bigger and bigger, and the body's center of gravity moves forward, which adds burden to the waist and back muscles when walking. At the same time, compression of the nerves or pelvis by the uterus during pregnancy and joint relaxation are also common causes. Generally, moderate walking and exercise can prevent them.

This is a normal phenomenon during pregnancy. During pregnancy, especially in the later stages, you should start taking calcium supplements, 1 calcium tablet a day.

Reason 2: During pregnancy, pregnant women are affected by changes in hormone secretion, and the ligaments of the spine, pelvis and other joints become loose. If pregnant women sit or stand in an incorrect posture, it is easy to aggravate the discomfort of the waist and back. Pregnant women can pay attention to maintaining the normal curvature of the waist and avoid increasing the tension of the spine, which will help alleviate the discomfort of the waist.

1. When standing, maintain an upright posture and keep the normal curvature of the spine. Do not push the abdomen upward too much, or bend the upper body backward for balance, to avoid increasing the pressure on the spine.

2. When sitting, keep your back straight. You can put a cushion on the back of the chair to support the curvature of the spine and help relieve pain. Do not relax your body and lean against the back of the chair. Excessive bending of the back will cause back fatigue.

3. Lie on your back and place a pillow under your knees to make your back flat against the mattress, which helps reduce the tension on your waist. Sleeping on your side helps reduce the pressure on your abdomen, and pregnant women will sleep more comfortably. In addition, place a pillow between your legs with your knees slightly bent, which helps reduce the tension on your waist.

Pregnant women should know when choosing a mattress. Good: 2 inches thick and hard. Avoid: too thick, too soft. Note:

1. The hardness of the mattress is measured by pressing the mattress with your hand. If the mattress only dents at the pressure point, it is considered hard.

2. If the mattress is too old and some of the springs have lost their elasticity, you should replace it with a new one.
