It can occur in any part of the neck, mostly located in the subcutaneous tissue, and appear as nodular tumors that protrude above the skin. They are mostly single, but there are also multiple or nodular fusions with irregular shapes. They are soft to the touch and have unclear boundaries. When the lesions are shallow, the skin is purple-blue, and when the lesions are deep, the skin color is normal. The tumor shrinks when pressed, and the mass returns to its original shape after the pressure is released. The postural test is positive. The tumor grows as the child grows, invading surrounding tissues, muscles, and nerves, often causing neck pain, soreness, worsening pain when turning the head, and weakness in the head and neck muscles.
