Menstrual symptoms approaching menopause

Menopause is a process that every female friend must go through when she reaches a certain age. This is a normal phenomenon, but there are usually some menstrual symptoms before menopause, including menstrual disorders, lighter color, prolonged cycles, etc. Female friends do not need to worry too much about this. Generally speaking, it will be normal after menopause. This is a normal physiological reaction. Friends in need can learn more about the relevant knowledge.

1. Premenopausal menstrual symptoms

Although menopause is a normal phenomenon for women, it is also important for women to take preventive measures. Generally speaking, before menopause, a woman's menstrual cycle may be disordered, and her menstrual blood may also undergo some changes, such as lighter menstrual blood color or shorter menstrual period, etc. These are typical symptoms of premenopausal menstruation. The menstrual cycle is an important indicator of the health of a woman's reproductive system. Generally speaking, if a woman has a disease in her reproductive system, it will first be reflected in her menstrual cycle. Before menopause, due to the gradual decline of ovarian function, women's menstrual cycle becomes disordered. Some women may not have menstruation for 2-3 months, or even for 2-3 years. What are the menstrual symptoms when menopause is approaching?

First, changes in the menstrual cycle: When approaching menopause, women may find that their cycles are lengthened. Normally, their periods come once a month, but before menopause, they may only come once every two or three months, and then return to normal after a few months. This cycle of amenorrhea and regular menstruation may last for one or two years. Some women may also experience shorter periods and too many menstrual periods over a period of time.

Second, changes in the appearance of menstrual blood: Menstrual blood will also change during menopause. It will be lighter in color than usual, pink, or even black, and there may be small blood clots and fiber fragments mixed in the menstrual blood. The amount of menstrual blood may also change. In some cases, the amount of blood will gradually decrease, but in some cases, it will increase or heavy bleeding will occur. During this period, the length of the menstrual period may also change. In some cases, it will become shorter, only 2 to 3 days, while for some other women, the menstrual period may be prolonged, which may last about 10 days.

2. What are the causes of menopause?

1. Atresia of the lower part of the reproductive tract, such as the cervix, vagina, hymen, labia, etc., some of which are congenitally atretic or adhesively atretic due to acquired damage. Although menstruation occurs, the menstrual blood cannot flow out. This condition is called hidden or pseudo-amenorrhea. Lower reproductive tract atresia can be completely cured with medical treatment.

2. The reproductive organs are incomplete or underdeveloped. Some people are born without ovaries, or their ovaries are underdeveloped, or their ovaries are damaged and cannot produce estrogen and progesterone. Therefore, the endometrium cannot undergo cyclical changes, and there will be no endometrial shedding, so there will be no menstruation. Some women are born without a uterus, or have endometrial hypoplasia, or endometrial damage. Even if their ovaries are functioning well and the secretion of estrogen and progesterone is normal, they will not have menstruation.
