What to do if you have excessive menstruation and anemia

1. Etiological treatment: Iron supplementation alone can only restore blood counts but has no effect on the primary disease. The cause of iron deficiency should be eliminated as much as possible. 3. Red blood cell transfusion : Blood transfusion is generally not required. It is only used when the patient has severe anemia, uncontrollable bleeding, or obvious hypoxia of tissues and organs.
