Itchy white discharge

Itchy white discharge

Gynecological diseases are particularly confusing. Generally, married women will suffer from gynecological diseases to varying degrees. This is caused by not paying attention to personal hygiene, frequent sexual life, and contact with bacterial and viral infections. Some women find that their private parts are not only itchy but also accompanied by white discharge, which is leucorrhea. However, if the itching persists, it is necessary to consider vaginitis. So what should we do?

Leucorrhea is a white mucous substance formed by vaginal secretions mixed with shed epithelial cells and some bacteria.

Normal women also have leucorrhea due to the self-cleaning function of the vagina, but the amount is generally not too much. When there are vaginal diseases such as vaginitis, the characteristics of leucorrhea will change, such as increased amount of leucorrhea, redness of leucorrhea, and tofu dregs-like appearance. Of course, when pathological changes occur in the vagina, there will also be other symptoms, such as itching, bad odor, etc.

At this time, the most common test is to take leucorrhea for routine examination.

Individuals can also simply judge some common vaginal diseases based on some common changes in the characteristics of leucorrhea, such as:

Yellow, smelly, purulent leucorrhea indicates a purulent bacterial infection;

Yellow foamy, purulent leucorrhea is common in Trichomonas vaginitis.

Tofu-like leucorrhea is common in fungal (mold) vaginitis.

Bloody leucorrhea: common in vaginal bleeding. If accompanied by a special odor, it is common in cervical polyps.

If there are white objects and it is very itchy, it may be vulvovaginal candidiasis.

symptom

Vulvar itching and a lot of white, bean curd-like leucorrhea are the main symptoms of this disease. It may be accompanied by a burning sensation in the vulva, urinary urgency, dysuria, and pain during sexual intercourse. When the symptoms are severe, the patient will be restless and suffer extreme pain.

Signs

Examination revealed swelling of the vulva, exfoliation of the epidermis, and possible scratches. There is a white film-like substance attached to the inner side of the labia minora and the vaginal mucosa. After wiping it off, redness, swelling or erosion of the vaginal mucosa and superficial ulcers can be seen. Typical leucorrhea is white, clot-like, and okara-like, with a slightly foul odor.
