Can I sleep with my partner right after my period?

Many newlyweds don’t know much about reproductive health, so they make many wrong decisions. During menstruation, girls' bodies are very weak, and the vaginal wall will be damaged during the shedding of the endometrium. Therefore, having sex at this time will lead to infection for both husband and wife, and it is not conducive to the recovery of the female body, and may even cause gynecological diseases. So, can you sleep together just after your period?

1. For women with relatively stable menstrual periods: the ovulation day is generally the 14th day before the next menstrual period. The 5 days before this day, including this day and the 4 days after this day, are called the ovulation period. In other words, the ovulation period of an average woman is ten days.

2. If the menstrual cycle is unstable, the ovulation period can be calculated in this way: the first day of ovulation = the shortest menstrual cycle minus 18 days, the last day of ovulation = the longest menstrual cycle minus 11 days. The calculation method is to take the first day of menstruation as the base point and count the days backwards.

3. The first step of conception is the combination of sperm and egg to form a fertilized egg. A woman usually releases only one egg during one menstrual cycle, and the egg's ability to conceive (i.e. survival) is only 24-48 hours after it is released from the ovary (waiting for fertilization in the fallopian tube). The lifespan of sperm in the female reproductive tract is about 2-3 days, so conception is possible if sexual intercourse is performed 2-3 days before ovulation and 1-2 days after ovulation. This period is called the fertile period, also known as the "dangerous period" or "fertile period".

4. Ovarian ovulation usually occurs within 2 days before or after the 14th day of menstruation (the specific ovulation period is calculated according to the menstrual cycle), and the ovulation day is usually the few days in the middle of the two menstrual periods. It is impossible to conceive without ovulation. Only when ovulation occurs can the egg meet the sperm and be fertilized. The entire period is approximately within 10 days after menstruation, and from the 20th day after menstruation to the next menstruation. The closer to the menstrual period, the greater the possibility of contraception.

5. It is easiest to get pregnant if you have sex on the fourteenth day before your period. If a woman's menstruation is usually regular, she can have sex every other day starting from the 9th day after her menstruation. In addition, in order to increase the chance of conception, women can use ovulation test strips to measure ovulation, just follow the instructions. You can also monitor ovulation by testing your basal body temperature. It should be noted that women should not have frequent sex before and after ovulation. It is best to arrange sex reasonably around the ovulation day to increase the success rate of conception.
