Sexual life is an indispensable part of a normal relationship between men and women. Sexual life can regulate the relationship between men and women to a certain extent and make them more intimate. However, some men lack self-control and often hurt their female partners. Some women experience vaginal bleeding after sex. It may also be accompanied by a certain amount of pain and even swelling of the labia. So what kind of anti-inflammatory medicine should I take if I have itching and bleeding after sex? In fact, bleeding after sexual intercourse may be a precursor to certain gynecological diseases. If these precursors are discovered in time, the disease can be eliminated in the bud. Here we discuss the various causes, diagnosis, and treatment of vaginal bleeding. 1. Cervicitis In the census, the disease has a nearly 50% chance of occurring, especially among people with a history of childbirth or abortion. This disease is commonly known as "cervical erosion". This name is too malicious and provocative, and is often misunderstood as uterine decay and suppuration, which is very scary. Except for the simple type which does not require bacterial infection, other types may be infected with bacteria, fungi, viruses, chlamydia, etc. The disease can take the form of various "erosion" surfaces of mild (grade I), moderate (grade II), and severe (grade III), and may cause polyps (which are most likely to bleed), cervical hypertrophy, ectropion, old cervical fissures, Nash cysts (cervical gland cysts), etc. The cervix is the part that the penis repeatedly hits and rubs during sexual intercourse, which not only promotes the occurrence and development of cervicitis, but is also the most common cause of small amounts of bleeding after sexual intercourse. In medicine, it is called contact bleeding. Contact bleeding, including bleeding after gynecological examination, is most likely caused by cervical cancer (commonly known as inverted bleeding), but the most common cause is cervical erosion, because the incidence of cervical cancer is about one in a thousand, while that of cervicitis is close to one in three. Although cervicitis is not cancer, it is a breeding ground for cervical cancer, and the causal relationship between the two is very close. A survey of 190,000 people in Nanjing found that people with cervicitis are more likely to develop cervical cancer, and the more severe the cervicitis, the greater the chance of cervical cancer. 2. Cervical cancer If there is contact bleeding after sexual intercourse, the most feared thing is this disease. Recently this disease has a tendency to occur in younger people, and cervical cancer in people around 30 years old is not uncommon. This disease must be diagnosed and treated early. After very early surgery, you can still get pregnant and have a baby. Stage O is also called carcinoma in situ . In order to diagnose and treat early, especially for people with contact bleeding or cervicitis, it is necessary to use the cytology examination method mentioned above for screening, starting at least around the age of 30 and doing it regularly. Cervical cancer, a terrible and highly malignant cancer, has four "lovely advantages". It provides us with a step for early diagnosis and treatment. It depends on whether we climb it. The first advantage is that it develops slowly in the initial stage. It takes ten years from precancerous lesions to stage I invasive cancer, which gives us enough time to catch it. The second advantage is that the starting point of cancer is always at the opening of the cervical canal, which can be used as a location for scraping. Advantage three: the cervical opening can be seen and felt, making it easy to check. The fourth advantage is that there are testing methods with good specificity and sensitivity. It would be a shame not to make good use of these cute spots. 3. Uterine fibroids Single, small uterine fibroids generally do not have bleeding symptoms. If the fibroids are large, multiple, especially submucosal fibroids that droop outside the cervix, it will cause bleeding after sexual intercourse, and an ultrasound examination must be done. There is currently no cure for Chinese and Western medicine. Surgery or laparoscopic treatment can better solve the problem, but for small granular myomas, they cannot be seen by B-ultrasound for the time being, so it is difficult to completely remove them. There is a 1% chance that benign uterine fibroids will turn into malignant uterine fibroids, so regular follow-up is necessary. Fibroids usually shrink and disappear on their own after menopause. 4. Situations related to menstruation Some people often have a little bleeding one or two days after their menstruation is basically over. Some people have a little bleeding during ovulation. Sometimes they also have a little bleeding after missing one or two birth control pills. If these bleeding happens to occur after sex, it will also be disturbing. This requires a careful review of your menstrual history, etc. If you can't figure it out, go see a gynecologist. 5. Various vaginitis Vaginitis is unlikely to cause bleeding after sexual intercourse unless the inflammation is particularly severe. Checking the vaginal discharge can clarify the diagnosis. Treatment should be targeted at the cause. For example, using metronidazole to treat fungal vaginitis would be a waste of time. 6. Miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, hydatidiform mole Sexual intercourse should be avoided during the first 3 months of pregnancy. If bleeding occurs after rash sexual intercourse, be alert to the above-mentioned pregnancy diseases. We surveyed 607 women and found that 18.3% of them experienced vaginal bleeding during pregnancy, of which 70% occurred in the first three months of pregnancy. There is a tendency of "threatened miscarriage" in the first place, and if it is coupled with the stimulation of sexual intercourse, the chance of miscarriage will inevitably increase. If bleeding occurs during early pregnancy, it may not be wise to blindly preserve the fetus, and it may not be correct to just go for an artificial abortion. You should do an ultrasound to understand the development of the embryo. If the embryo develops poorly, artificial abortion should be performed; if the embryo develops normally, the pregnancy can be preserved. Short-term, small amounts of bleeding during early pregnancy will not cause abnormalities in fetal development. Urine pregnancy tests are not helpful in determining whether the embryo is dead or alive, because while a (-) result indicates that the embryo is dead, a (+) result does not necessarily mean that the embryo is normal. If you have bleeding after sexual intercourse during early pregnancy, you should also consider ectopic pregnancy or hydatidiform mole, etc. You must go to the hospital to see a doctor for diagnosis and treatment. 7. Mid- and late-term pregnancy If post-coital bleeding occurs at this time, the first thing to think of is threatened premature labor and placenta previa. Threatened premature birth after 7 months of pregnancy should generally be treated to preserve the fetus. Although a 7-month premature baby may survive, it is not easy for a "kitten" weighing only 1 kilogram to survive, and even if it survives, it may suffer from congenital deficiencies. Placenta previa means that the placenta is attached near the opening of the uterus, but its position is too low, so the impact of the penis during sexual intercourse may cause it to bleed. This is a very dangerous condition that can cause uncontrolled heavy bleeding, which is very dangerous to both the mother and the fetus. The patient must be sent to a large hospital for treatment immediately, because small hospitals may not have the conditions for emergency blood transfusion. In addition, cervical lesions, rotaform placenta, velamentous placenta anterior, early placental abruption, etc. can also cause bleeding after sexual intercourse. 8. Senile vaginitis After menopause, the secretion of female hormones decreases, and the vaginal mucosa atrophies, degenerates, becomes thinner, more brittle, and easily damaged and bleeds. But the amount of bleeding is small and can stop and heal on its own. If you want to speed up healing and make the mucosa stronger and healthier, you can also put some diethylstilbestrol tablets in the vagina, one tablet every two or three days, and no more than three to five times, because estrogen is a double-edged sword. A better mucous membrane can also reduce pain during sexual intercourse. 9. Endometrial cancer Postmenopausal uterine bleeding can of course also occur after sexual intercourse. The most common causes are inflammatory or functional, but the most terrifying one is of course cancer. The average age of onset of endometrial cancer is about 10 years older than that of cervical cancer, but it can occur at any age. When elderly people bleed after sexual intercourse, the first thing to consider is whether it is senile vaginitis, and then don't forget about malignant tumors. In order to rule out endometrial cancer, visual inspection, manual examination, X-rays, B-ultrasound, MRI, etc. are not very helpful for early cancer. The effective diagnostic method is curettage and pathological examination. |
