Is it dangerous for pregnant women to take leucorrhea?

If a pregnant woman has abnormal leucorrhea after pregnancy, if the leucorrhea is yellow, or if it is accompanied by vulvar itching, she can have a gynecological examination, that is, a vaginal examination, and take leucorrhea for testing. This situation may be vaginitis, but the type of vaginitis can only be determined by testing the leucorrhea. There are many types of vaginitis, and the treatments for various vaginitis are different, so pregnant women can have a gynecological examination to check for leucorrhea after pregnancy.

When a woman is around 12 weeks pregnant, she usually needs to go to the obstetrics department of the hospital to open a card and do a comprehensive examination. Routine examination items include blood routine, coagulation, liver and kidney function, full set of blood transfusion tests, blood type, thyroid function and TORCH. At the same time, a routine leucorrhea examination is also required to rule out vaginitis.

Generally speaking, for routine examination of vaginal discharge, the doctor uses a small dilator to dilate the vagina to expose the cervix, and uses a cotton swab to obtain vaginal discharge from the posterior fornix of the cervix for examination. There is no danger in collecting vaginal discharge and it will not cause symptoms of threatened miscarriage.

It is normal to have increased vaginal discharge during pregnancy. As long as there is no odor or itching, there is no problem. However, if you are worried, you can have a vaginal discharge check. The doctor will use a cotton swab to collect the vaginal discharge. As long as the examination shows no problems, there is no need to worry. However, during pregnancy, you should still pay attention to flushing the vagina with running water every day and pay attention to hygiene.
