Benign reactive cell changes inflammation

Benign reactive cell changes inflammation

Many people are not particularly familiar with the disease of reactive cell changes. In fact, this name is mainly used in the diagnosis of gynecological diseases. This change is mainly due to the fact that during the growth and development process, cells are affected by external factors and change their original functions to develop into other forms. After this problem occurs, it is necessary to receive timely treatment to prevent the cells from developing into malignant tumors.

Reactive cellular changes are common clinical findings in cervical inflammation. Cervicitis is a common disease among women of childbearing age and can be either acute or chronic. Acute cervicitis often coexists with acute endometritis or acute vaginitis, but chronic cervicitis is more common.

What causes reactive cell changes?

It occurs after injury to the cervix due to childbirth, miscarriage, or surgery.

The main pathogens are:

1) Pathogens of sexually transmitted diseases: Neisseria gonorrhoeae and Mycoplasma chlamydia.

2) Endogenous pathogens: Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Escherichia coli and anaerobic bacteria, etc.

3) Others: Protozoa include Trichomonas and Ameba. In special cases, it is caused by chemicals and radiation.

How should reactive cell changes be diagnosed?

Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and nucleic acid testing, secretion examination, bacterial culture and bacterial drug sensitivity test, and cervical smear for lymphocytological classification.

Vaginal B-mode ultrasound examination and colposcopy-guided biopsy.

Benign reactive cell change inflammation is an inflammatory change, which can usually be treated with topical suppositories, while paying attention to local hygiene and sexual hygiene. It is recommended to check TcT every year because TcT is one of the two cancer screening items.
