Unmarried woman has cervical inflammation

Unmarried woman has cervical inflammation

Gynecological inflammatory diseases are common problems that occur in women. But it happens more often to married women. Caused by sexual life after marriage. Some unmarried women may also suffer from gynecological inflammatory diseases, which is caused by poor living and hygiene habits in their daily lives. Therefore, unmarried women must pay attention to this, as once gynecological diseases, especially uterine diseases, are developed, fertility will be affected. But what if an unmarried woman has inflammation of the cervix?

Causes of cervicitis in unmarried women

Not paying attention to your period

Unmarried women, especially young women, are easily nervous during menstruation. They lack knowledge about menstrual hygiene and do not pay attention to washing their genitals every day. If they do not maintain good hygiene, it is easy for bacteria to multiply and cause diseases such as cervicitis.

Having sex too early

People's open minds and lack of taboo about premarital sex have led to premarital sex becoming more and more common. However, having sex too early or having multiple sexual partners are also causes of cervicitis.

Excessive cleaning

The main reason why many unmarried women suffer from cervicitis is excessive cleaning. Some women are very clean and often use solutions with higher concentrations to clean the vagina and cervix. These can cause damage to the cervix, giving bacteria an opportunity to take advantage and cause cervicitis.

Reminder: Do not mistake cervicitis for cervical erosion

Experts say that cervicitis is not the same as cervical erosion. Cervicitis is essentially an inflammation of the cervix caused by infection, trauma and other reasons. It is also a cause of cervical erosion. Depending on the pathogenic microorganisms, cervicitis can be divided into simple Neisseria gonorrhoeae cervicitis, Chlamydia trachomatis cervicitis, Mycoplasma cervicitis, and bacterial cervicitis.

The main symptoms of cervicitis are increased vaginal discharge, which is purulent, or abnormal bleeding such as intermenstrual bleeding, bleeding after sexual intercourse, etc. It is often accompanied by back pain and lower abdominal discomfort. Gynecological examination shows redness and swelling of the cervix, eversion of the cervical mucosa, and tenderness of the cervix. If the infection spreads along the cervical lymphatic vessels, it can cause shedding of the cervical epithelium and even the formation of ulcers.

Cervical erosion is just one of the pathological manifestations of chronic cervicitis. It refers to the shedding or ulceration of the cervical vaginal epithelium at the external os of the cervix, and appears as a granular red area.

● To prevent cervicitis, you should pay attention to the following:

1. After marriage, you should pay attention to sexual contact infection and avoid sexual intercourse during menstruation. If a couple suffers from sexually transmitted diseases, including syphilis, gonorrhea, trichomoniasis, etc., they must be treated at the same time, and the treatment must be thorough.

2. If you experience symptoms such as increased vaginal discharge, back pain, or lower abdominal pain, you should go to the hospital for treatment immediately. Achieve early diagnosis and early treatment. This is one way to prevent cervicitis.

3. Pay attention to personal hygiene, take a bath frequently, change underwear frequently, wash the vulva with warm water every day, do not use unclean bathing utensils, including avoiding using other people's towels, soap, etc.

4. Pay attention to menstrual hygiene, use qualified menstrual pads, take enough rest during menstruation, and avoid swimming during menstruation.

5. Pay attention to nutrition in your diet, make reasonable combinations, and do not be partial or picky about food. It is not known what foods can prevent cervicitis.

6. Avoid cross-infection in public places, including public baths, swimming pools, hotels and public toilets. Pay special attention to this point.

7. Strengthen your physical fitness and improve your ability to resist disease. Do not take weight-loss drugs at will. Some women may lose weight after taking weight-loss drugs, but their resistance decreases, resulting in amenorrhea, irregular menstruation, or recurrence of existing chronic diseases such as pelvic inflammatory disease and cervicitis.
