Does anti-inflammatory injection cause vulvar inflammation?

Diseases are very common in people's daily lives. Many diseases are accompanied by certain inflammatory symptoms after they appear in the human body. In most cases, anti-inflammatory injections are used for treatment. Some people have heard that anti-inflammatory injections have a certain chance of causing vulvar inflammation, but it is not very certain. So, does the anti-inflammatory injection cause vulvar inflammation?

First, does the anti-inflammatory injection cause vulvar inflammation? Anti-inflammatory injections are rarely used for simple vaginal inflammation. Oral medication and vaginal topical medication are sufficient. However, if there is concurrent pelvic inflammation and endometrial inflammation, intravenous drip can be used. The vulva refers to the female external genitalia, that is, the exposed part of the genitals, including the tissue from the pubic symphysis to the perineum and the inner sides of the thighs. Vulvitis is an inflammatory lesion of the skin or mucous membrane of the vulva, such as redness, swelling, pain, itching, erosion, etc.

Second, the weakly acidic environment of the vagina can maintain the self-cleaning function of the vagina. Western medicine believes that the environment of the vagina is often unstable due to the host's metabolic products, the products of the bacteria themselves, and exogenous factors (sexual intercourse, douching and other interference). The vaginal flora is very complex. In addition to protozoa and fungi, it also includes many aerobic and anaerobic bacteria. These microorganisms can be divided into commensal and pathological ones. They all grow in a common environment and there may be antagonism between the microorganisms. Another factor that affects its growth is the hydrogen ion concentration. At pH 3.8-4.2, it is conducive to the reproduction of commensal bacteria, especially Lactobacillus, which is the main species in a healthy vagina. The density in vaginal fluid can reach 105-108 ml. When the vagina is infected by microorganisms, if Lactobacillus is dominant and can still maintain pH 3.8-4.2, it will not cause disease. Moreover, Lactobacillus can also produce H202, which is toxic to other microorganisms and inhibits their reproduction. Others such as Streptococcus lactis, Enterobacter, Proteus, Gavagelococcus, and Veillonella are common in the lower end of the vagina and usually do not cause symptoms. The vaginal flora restrain each other, preventing pathological bacteria from having any effect. If this balance is disrupted, the mutual restraint disappears, so the hydrogen ion concentration decreases, lactobacilli lose their advantage, and pathological bacteria are able to multiply, resulting in symptoms.

Will anti-inflammatory injections cause vulvar inflammation? The pathogens that cause female vulvar inflammation come from two main sources, namely, from the bacteria that originally parasitize in the vagina, or from pathogens that invade from the outside. Under normal circumstances, vaginal lactobacilli dominate the genitals, along with a small amount of anaerobic bacteria, mycoplasma and Candida, which form a normal ecological balance. However, when the human body's immunity is low, endocrine hormones change, or external factors such as tissue damage and sexual intercourse disrupt the ecological balance of the genitals, these resident bacteria will become pathogenic bacteria, break through the vaginal barrier and cause infection. Infection from the outside world mainly comes from contact with infected toilets, bathtubs, bathtubs, chairs, towels in shared places, and using unclean toilet paper, which can all cause infection. Therefore, ensuring sexual health is a prerequisite for preventing the disease. Using condoms can reduce vaginal irritation and the impact of semen on vaginal pH, and play a certain role in prevention. In addition, it should be noted that when cleaning the vulva every day, it is more appropriate to use a feminine care solution with a weak acid formula of Ph4. Simply rinsing with clean water or using alkaline shower gel will destroy the acid-base balance of the vulva, inhibiting the normal growth of lactobacilli. When other pathogenic bacteria, such as anaerobic bacteria, multiply in large numbers (the decarboxylase of anaerobic bacteria acts on a certain amino acid produced by Gardnerella to generate volatile amines, resulting in an unpleasant fishy odor), the surface cells of the vagina that are attached to the bacteria fall off, vaginal secretions increase, and vulvitis occurs. Irritating factors that cause female vulvitis Common causes of vulvar inflammation include irritation from vaginal secretions (including stimulation from increased vaginal secretions flowing to the vulva, stimulation from menstruation or menstrual pads and underwear, etc.); other irritating factors (a. urine of diabetic patients, b. long-term urine invasion of patients with urinary fistula, c. colorectal cancer patients are sometimes irritated by feces, d. intestinal worms); mixed infection (common pathogens are Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus aureus and Escherichia coli), etc.
