You should understand that if you must extract teeth, you need to avoid breastfeeding for 48 hours after the extraction. The local anesthetic drug generally used for tooth extraction is lidocaine, and its half-life is generally 3 hours. Therefore, breastfeeding is not recommended within 24 hours after tooth extraction. At the same time, oral medications such as amoxicillin are only recommended after tooth extraction (as long as there is no allergy, it has little effect on the child. At the same time, its half-life is as short as one hour, and it can be completely excreted from the body after a maximum of seven hours.

Dental diseases can be treated during breastfeeding. If wisdom teeth have caries and are very painful, you should first receive anti-inflammatory and analgesic treatment, and then repair or remove them depending on the condition of the teeth. Anti-inflammatory drugs can be used during breastfeeding and will not affect breastfeeding. Anesthetics will not have any effect on the baby's body, but those who are allergic to anesthetics should be careful. It is best to feed your child the first milk in the presence of a doctor two hours after tooth extraction. If there is any allergy, deal with it immediately.

There is no problem with simply extracting teeth, but it is best not to do it during breastfeeding because it may cause infection. If you need to take antibiotics, the drugs and their metabolites can affect the baby through breast milk. Moreover, if the oral hygiene is not good, symptoms of periodontal disease such as bad breath, bleeding gums, loose teeth and periodontal abscesses are likely to occur. Therefore, it is best not to extract teeth during breastfeeding, and be sure to maintain oral hygiene. It is also best not to have fillings. You can peel fresh garlic, mash it into a paste, and fill the cavity with caries; you can also take an appropriate amount of Yunnan Baiyao, mix it with warm water to make a paste, fill it into the cavity with caries, or apply it to the periodontal and gum areas; you can also apply Ten Drops of Water or Wind Oil to the affected area, or continuously brush your teeth with acid-resistant toothpaste, etc., which will relieve the pain and then make it disappear.
