How to delay menstruation

How to delay menstruation

Menstruation is an important part of women's life. However, menstruation can also affect women's lives. For example, some women have activities, exams, work, etc. If she has her period at this time, it will have a great impact on what she does. Of course we will find ways to delay menstruation. We will not let menstruation become an obstacle to our activities. Taking medicine should be effective, but I am worried about the side effects. So how can you delay your period?

(1) The normal menstrual cycle of a woman is generally 21 to 35 days, with an average of 28 days. About 7 days earlier or later is still within the normal range. The length of the cycle varies from person to person. If you want to delay menstruation, you can try the following methods: drink a spoonful of vinegar every night, which can delay menstruation by about 3-4 days. A friend of mine has personally experienced that her menstruation was delayed by four days. The amount of menstruation on the first day will be less, and the amount on the second day will be normal. Contraceptive type I (norethindrone) or type II short-acting oral contraceptive pills should be taken 2 tablets a day for 2 weeks starting from the 5th day of menstruation, and the dosage should be increased to 4 tablets a day from the 3rd week. Use of progestin: The commonly used method is oral medroxyprogesterone acetate, which should be taken 2-3 times a day 1-2 days before the onset of menstruation, 3-2 tablets each time, and taken continuously. Menstruation will not occur during the period of taking the pills. Determine the number of days to take the drug based on the characteristic that menstruation occurs 3 days after stopping taking the drug. Short-term use of progesterone will not cause harm to the user and will not have any major side effects.

(2) Medication can delay menstruation and artificially adjust the timing of menstruation. It generally does not cause trouble to the normal menstrual cycle in the future, nor does it cause ovulation dysfunction and lead to infertility. Of course, unless there are special circumstances, do not take medication to adjust the menstrual cycle. These methods can only be used in emergencies and should not be used frequently in normal times to prevent exogenous hormones from interfering with women's normal menstrual cycle.

(3) You can take progesterone acetate around the 23rd day of your menstrual cycle, which is about 5 days before your next menstrual period (counting from the first day of your last menstrual period, provided that your menstrual cycle is generally 28 to 30 days). Take 10 mg of progesterone acetate once a day. Continuous use can effectively control the specific time of menstruation.
