The harm of slight electric shock to the fetus

In our daily life, we often use various electrical appliances to facilitate our lives. However, no matter how good electrical appliances are, there are always certain hidden dangers. For example, many pregnant women will feel a slight electric shock when using electrical appliances. After being electrocuted, many pregnant mothers are worried that the electric current will have a certain impact on the development of their children. So, does a minor electric shock have any harm to the fetus? The answer will be given below.

1. What are the effects of mild electric shock in early pregnancy?

There is no problem with this situation. If the damage is only minor to a part of the body, it will not have any impact.

2. Nutritional supplements are needed in early pregnancy

In the early stages of pregnancy, pregnant women need to pay great attention to their diet. It is best to consume more nutrients that are beneficial to the development of the embryo, such as high-quality protein, fatty acids, heat energy, multiple vitamins and mineral elements. It is best to eat less or no spicy food, fried food, and some foods that easily cause getting a sore throat.

1. Protein intake. This period is when the body stores relatively more protein, with the fetus retaining about 170g and the mother retaining about 375g. This requires that pregnant women's dietary protein supply increase by 25g compared to non-pregnant women, and they should consume more animal and soy foods.

2. Essential fatty acids. This period is the peak period for fetal brain cell proliferation. Adequate essential fatty acids such as arachidonic acid are needed to meet the needs of brain development. Eating more marine fish can help supply DHA.

3. Intake of calcium and iron. More than half of the calcium in the fetus is stored in the late pregnancy. Pregnant women should consume 1500 mg of calcium daily and supplement with an appropriate amount of vitamin D. The fetal liver stores iron at a rate of 5 mg per day during this period, reaching 300-400 mg of iron by birth. Pregnant women should consume 28 mg of iron per day, and should consume more hemoglobin-type iron from animal foods.

3. Precautions in early pregnancy

The early stage of pregnancy, that is, the first three months of pregnancy, is an important period for embryo development. At this time, due to the instability of the embryo, any accident may easily cause damage to the embryo development or even cause miscarriage. In order to avoid these situations, pregnant women should pay attention to the following points in the early stages of pregnancy:

1. Avoid or reduce sexual activity during the first three months of pregnancy

Because the placenta and the uterine wall of the pregnant woman are not tightly connected in the early pregnancy, improper sexual intercourse may cause uterine contractions and lead to miscarriage. Therefore, the first three months of pregnancy is a period when miscarriage is prone to occur, especially for pregnant women at high risk of miscarriage.

2. Vaginal bleeding in early pregnancy requires immediate medical attention

If you notice vaginal bleeding, even a small amount, you should see a doctor right away, even if the bleeding appears to have stopped. This could be a sign of some serious problem. Therefore, you need to seek medical attention immediately to make sure that there are no problems with the pregnant woman and the fetus and to rule out the possibility of complications.
