What to do if lochia recurs after childbirth

After giving birth, the pregnant woman's body will suffer a certain degree of damage, so there is confinement to help the mother recover. But no matter whether it is a natural birth or a caesarean section, you will suffer from lochia during the confinement period. Generally, pregnant women can excrete it within half a month. However, some pregnant women will experience lochia again after a period of time. This also has an impact on the life of the mother, but what should we do in this situation?

1. Good living habits. 1. Keep the indoor air circulating to remove foul air, but pay attention to keeping warm and avoid catching cold. If you have blood heat syndrome, you should not wear too warm clothes. 2. Rest in bed, maintain an optimistic attitude, keep a good mood, comfort the patient, and eliminate mental worries. 3. Improve nutrition and eat light and easily digestible food. Avoid eating raw, cold, spicy, greasy, or indigestible food. Eat more fresh vegetables. If you have qi deficiency, you can eat some chicken soup, longan soup, etc. If your blood is hot, eat some fruits such as pears, oranges, and watermelons.

2. Drug treatment. If lochia recurs for a long time, it is best to go to the hospital for a check-up, find out the cause, and then take medication for treatment. Compared with Western medicine, Chinese medicine is more inclined to Western medicine. Western medicine generally relieves symptoms, but Chinese medicine treats the root of the human body, which can not only treat diseases but also regulate the body.

3. Diet therapy. 1. 30 grams of Herba Lycopodii, 10 eggs, and 30 grams of brown sugar. Boil the herb in water, remove the residue, and then use the filtrate, brown sugar and eggs to cook until the eggs are cooked. Eat 2-3 eggs a day and you can make more after you are done. This product is suitable for postpartum lochia caused by qi deficiency. 2. 10 grams of ginseng, 1 clean black-bone chicken, and a little salt. Soak the ginseng until soft, slice it, put it into the chicken's belly, put it into a casserole, add salt, and stew it until the chicken is cooked. Eat the meat and drink the soup, 2-3 times a day.

The normal postpartum period is 42 days. Lochia is shed with the uterine decidua after delivery and contains blood, necrotic decidua, white blood cells and epidermis. There are three types: bloody lochia, which lasts 3 to 4 days, serous lochia, which lasts about 10 days, and white lochia, which lasts about three weeks. There is a smell of blood but no stench. Observe it first. If you are not sure, it is best to go to the hospital and pay attention to personal hygiene.
