Vaginal opening enlarged after vaginal delivery

Vaginal opening enlarged after vaginal delivery

A woman will enter the delivery period after about ten months of pregnancy. If the fetus is too large, a cesarean section is often chosen, but for the sake of the child, natural birth is still preferred. Natural childbirth takes a long time for some women, while it takes a shorter time for others. It depends on the individual's body and the size and position of the fetus. However, it is common for the vaginal opening to become larger after a normal birth, and many women worry that their married life will be affected in the future. How can they improve this?

Generally, after a normal birth, the vagina will become looser and the vaginal opening will become larger. This takes time to recover slowly. Usually, most women still need an episiotomy after a normal birth to prevent perineal tearing. Vaginal dilation is inevitable due to the compression and expansion of the baby's head and body. However, this situation can be improved through future training. You can practice contracting the perineal muscles more often to increase the elasticity and tightness of the vagina. This condition can be recovered, and it should generally recover in one to two years.

1. Hold urine: During urination, consciously hold urine for a few seconds, interrupt urination, and then continue urinating after a short pause. Repeat this process over and over again. After a period of exercise, the tension of the muscles around the vagina can be increased.

2. Anal lifting exercise: When you feel like defecating, hold your stool and do anal lifting exercise. Repeating it frequently can exercise the pelvic muscles well. 3. Contraction exercise: Lie on your back, relax your body, gently insert a finger into the vagina, then contract the vagina, clamp the vagina, and continue

3 seconds, then relax, repeat several times. The time can be gradually extended

.4. Other exercises: When walking, consciously tighten the inner side of the big toe and the perineum muscles, then relax and repeat the exercise.

During a normal delivery, the vagina will expand to the size of the fetal head so that the fetus can be delivered smoothly. If the vaginal wall has better contraction performance, it can generally return to its original size about 42 days after delivery. In order to prevent perineal laceration during delivery, the midwife will usually perform an episiotomy and suture it immediately after delivery. The incision is very small, usually about 3-5CM, and the wound heals very quickly, usually completely healed in 3-5 days. It does not affect future functions. Suggestions: Therefore, after a normal birth, the vagina can basically return to its state before the birth, so a normal birth is recommended. Cesarean section is used to solve difficult labor problems and is damaging. The harm it causes is much greater than natural birth. However, people misunderstand this and think that cesarean section is safer. In fact, the risks of cesarean section are very high.
