As for surgical biopsy, puncture biopsy causes little damage to normal tissue, with only a needle-hole-sized wound. The patient only needs local anesthesia, and the cost is lower. Clinical significance of puncture biopsy

Normal value: The test result is negative.

Abnormal result: The test result is positive, confirming the presence of breast cancer cells.

Preparation for a biopsy

Before the puncture, the patient needs to do certain preparations. First, they need to provide a detailed medical history and previous imaging data for reference. If there is no imaging data, the corresponding examinations should be completed as soon as possible after hospitalization. Secondly, if B-ultrasound positioning has been done before puncture, the local positioning mark needs to be kept dry and avoid wiping.
