How to know if you have pelvic adhesions

The location of the pelvis is very important for women, mainly because women's most important reproductive organs are located in this place. Many female infertility is caused by pelvic adhesions, but there are many reasons for infertility. A comprehensive examination must be carried out to find out the specific reasons so that the right treatment can be given and normal fertility can be restored as soon as possible. So, how do you know if there is pelvic adhesion? Let’s take a look below.

As for how to know whether there is pelvic adhesion, it is generally confirmed clinically through self-examination, salpingography and detailed laparoscopy. Let's take a closer look:

(1) Self-examination: As the name suggests, self-examination is to make a preliminary judgment by checking yourself to see if there are any related discomfort symptoms. Generally speaking, women with pelvic adhesions often experience many discomforts such as lower abdominal distension and pain, lumbar pain, fatigue, etc., and these discomforts are often significantly aggravated during fatigue, menstrual cycle, and after sexual intercourse. How do you know if there is pelvic adhesion? Although self-examination can preliminarily determine the symptoms of adhesion, it can only be used as a basis for judgment because it is highly subjective.

(2) Hysterosalpingography: With the help of iodized oil contrast examination, it is possible to judge whether the subject has pelvic adhesion problems based on the diffusion of iodized oil in the pelvic cavity. If the iodized oil, a contrast agent, diffuses unevenly in the female pelvic cavity, then it can be considered that there is a pelvic adhesion problem.

(3) Laparoscopic examination: How to know whether there is pelvic adhesion? Laparoscopic examination is also the most commonly used examination method for diagnosing fallopian tube adhesion. It mainly involves inserting a laparoscope into the abdominal cavity from the abdominal wall to observe the shape and location of the pelvis, especially the uterus, fallopian tubes, and the shape of the fallopian tubes. If pelvic adhesion occurs, it can be quickly determined with a very high accuracy rate.

The above is an introduction on how to know whether there is pelvic adhesion. I believe that through the three examination methods mentioned above, it is possible to accurately determine whether a woman has pelvic adhesion problems. Once the pelvic adhesion condition is confirmed, it must be checked and treated in time to avoid delaying treatment and causing more serious problems.
