What are the dangers of lip tattoos

Most women think that lip lines are very sexy. Whether it is lipstick or lip gloss, it has a different flavor compared to lips without lip lines. Even many pictures of endorsements of big-name lipsticks and lip glosses have lip lines. Therefore, some women without lip lines begin to choose lip tattoos and remove lip blemishes through surgery. Of course, lip tattoos can not only add lip lines, but also change the size and thickness of the lips. Of course, surgery must have risks. What are the hazards of lip tattoos?

1. Scar hyperplasia

Since lip tattooing requires the use of needles for carving, if the tattoo artist inserts the needle too deep during the operation, the dermis will be affected. This will cause scarring. In addition, if the color cream contains excessive amounts of heavy metals such as lead, bismuth, and mercury, these metal substances will irritate the skin and cause increased pigmentation, which will deepen the color of the scar.

2. Lip blisters

When talking about the dangers of lip tattoos, we have to mention bubbles. Blistering is also a symptom of infection. Due to improper operation, mechanical stimulation, drug reaction, and large wound surface during lip tattooing, the body's immunity is reduced, and it is easy to be infected by bacteria and viruses in the mouth and the outside world, and complicated by herpes simplex. Herpes simplex should be treated with antiviral drugs, not antibiotics, because antibiotics are ineffective against viral infections.

3. Dark lips

After lip tattooing, the color of the lips will turn darker. The reasons for this harm are: using poor quality pigments, using too dark a color cream when tattooing, wiping the lips with alcohol, etc. In order to avoid the lips from turning dark, you should choose good lip tattoo pigments before the operation and do not use alcohol to wipe the lips.

4. Swelling of lips

After getting lip tattoos, girls may feel their lips become inexplicably swollen. This is mainly because if the lip tattoo is not dipped into the pigment, it may cause ineffective tattooing. It is also related to the individual constitution of the patient. If the patient is old and has deep lip lines, swelling will occur after applying the anesthetic.

5. Lip infection

Lip tattooing may cause the risk of lip infection, which is usually caused by getting lip tattooing done in irregular institutions. Many girls think that lip tattooing is just drawing lines on the lips, so they just find a studio in their circle of friends with relatively low prices to start tattooing. However, makeup is actually a minor surgical operation. Private plastic surgery studios in their circle of friends and street nail salons have no relevant qualifications to do makeup, and they are also careless in the selection of dyes and equipment. Once the disinfection is incomplete or dyes with excessive bacteria are used, it will lead to infection after the lip tattoo.

6. Causes Cancer

Many people don’t know that lip tattooing may also cause cancer. Fortunately, this is usually caused by the use of irregular pigments. If regular pigments are used, the chance of cancer is relatively low. As early as last year, a quality sampling inspection report released by the Korea Consumer Protection Agency showed that among the 25 cosmetic dye products (eyebrow tattoo, eyeliner tattoo) circulating in the Korean market, the heavy metal content of 12 products exceeded the standard to varying degrees, and some products even exceeded the standard value by 30 times, and some first-level carcinogens exceeded the standard by 5 times. Since Korean cosmetic materials account for a large proportion of the market, many irregular institutions use lip tattoo creams that contain excessive heavy metals. Therefore, those who love beauty may suffer from cancer if they get lip tattoos in irregular institutions.

When women undergo lip tattoo surgery, they must choose a regular hospital and not choose a small hospital, otherwise it will bring many complications to the patient. They must pay attention to maintenance after the operation.
