How to insert the uterine ring

How to insert the uterine ring

The uterine ring is something placed in our uterus. This thing has certain benefits for some women, including the contraceptive function. Although the uterine ring must be taken out in the end, there is a certain method to put it in. However, many people do not know its specific insertion method, or have never understood its insertion method. So how to put the uterine ring in?

In fact, there are many ways to place a uterine ring. First, you need to choose according to different contraceptive rings. The more common types in China include metal single ring, twist ring, mixed ring, IUD and other types. Female friends need to choose the type that suits them according to their preferences and doctor's advice. After the selection is completed, the placement will begin. First, strict disinfection measures are required, and then the uterine ring is inserted into the uterus using a "ring delivery device". After it is placed in the right position, the "ring delivery device" and the short contraceptive ring string are removed in time, which means that the uterus is fully placed.

Although it seems very simple, after the placement, female friends must pay attention to observe whether there are tail threads, and female friends should not have sexual intercourse within two weeks. If you find that there is a lot of bleeding in a short period of time, you must go to the hospital for examination in time. In addition, if your menstrual period is about to arrive but you find that the amount of menstrual flow is heavier than before, you also need to consult a doctor in time. Especially within three months after the insertion, you must pay attention to the problem of the contraceptive ring falling off.

The position of the uterus in the pelvic cavity forms an inverted triangle, that is, it is larger at the top and smaller at the bottom. When the IUD is placed in the uterine cavity, it will stay in the uterine cavity and will not fall out. However, if the cervix is relaxed and during menstruation, the menstrual blood volume is relatively large and there are a large number of blood clots, the IUD may fall out of the relaxed cervix under the impact of the large amount of menstrual blood and blood clots.

It is generally believed that the IUD should be inserted within 7 days after the end of menstruation, preferably on the third or fourth day after the end of menstruation. Inserting the IUD after 7 days can easily cause bleeding, and it is very likely to coincide with early ovulation and result in pregnancy with the IUD. For this reason, those with longer menstrual periods should try to have the IUD inserted as early as possible. Suggestions: The IUD can also be inserted immediately after an artificial abortion. Women of childbearing age who are breastfeeding can generally wait until 3 months after giving birth to have an IUD inserted. The rejection function of the uterus causes the uterine muscles to continuously contract, making it easy to fall off. The most effective way to prevent the contraceptive ring from falling off is to check regularly and observe the position of the contraceptive ring through B-ultrasound. Do not do strenuous exercise after the placement of the contraceptive ring. Anti-inflammatory treatment is the main treatment after the placement of the contraceptive ring. Keep clean and hygienic, and do not have sexual intercourse within two weeks.
