Leucorrhea is the secretion from the female vagina. Under normal circumstances, leucorrhea will be transparent or light yellow. The color of leucorrhea is related to the health of women, so women should pay attention to the changes in leucorrhea. If there is brown blood in the leucorrhea, there are two situations, one is normal, and the other may be caused by some diseases.

Case 1

Considering that there is ovulation bleeding, this situation does not need treatment. It is recommended to stop the medication and observe. In addition, it is recommended to check the condition of the cervix to rule out cervicitis or erosion.

Case 2

Brown vaginal discharge with blood can be physiological or pathological. Usually, women will have brown vaginal discharge with blood during ovulation, which is a normal physiological manifestation of women. If it is pathological leucorrhea, brown leucorrhea with blood may be caused by the following reasons:

1. Be alert to the possibility of malignant tumors, such as cervical cancer, uterine cancer, vaginal tumors, etc.

2. Some benign lesions may also cause dark brown vaginal discharge, such as senile vaginitis and cervical erosion.

3. It is caused by retention of menstrual blood and delayed discharge. It can be seen in irregular menstruation, hormone level disorders, endometrial diseases, etc.

Inflammatory leucorrhea includes currently quite common candidal vaginitis and non-candidal vaginitis (chlamydia infection); after fungal infection, the leucorrhea becomes pasty or curd-like, and the patient may feel itching and burning pain of the vulva; after candidal infection, the leucorrhea presents characteristic tofu-like changes, or small curd-like pieces, and is often accompanied by vulvar itching.

Inflammation caused by Trichomonas can be seen as yellow, thin, foamy leucorrhea, bleeding from the vaginal wall, and even bayberry-like bleeding spots, accompanied by vulvar itching. The leucorrhea caused by pelvic inflammatory disease (cervicitis, endometritis, adnexitis, etc.) is yellow in color, sticky in texture, fishy in smell, and purulent. At the same time, there is a feeling of tenderness in the pelvis and a frequent feeling of lower back pain, which is aggravated by excessive fatigue or sexual intercourse. The leucorrhea of ​​senile vaginitis is heavy and watery, and may contain blood or be yellow pus. The vaginal mucosa becomes congested, and in severe cases, hemorrhagic spots may appear. I feel itching and burning pain.

Case 4

The leucorrhea of ​​patients with gonorrhea is yellow pus-like; the leucorrhea secreted after amoeba infection is mostly bloody serous or yellow viscous secretion, sometimes mixed with small rotten meat-like substances (looks like yellow sauce soup); the "leucorrhea" secreted by diseases such as cervical cancer, vaginal cancer, and uterine body cancer is mostly rice water-like, turbid and foul-smelling, sometimes mixed with blood and light pink, and the amount is also large.
