What to do if there is a bulge on the vulva

There is a swelling on the vulva, which may be genital warts. Generally speaking, it can be relieved with medication. This may be caused by unclean sexual life, so you must ensure that your genitals are absolutely clean when having sex. During treatment, you must not have sexual intercourse, otherwise new lesions may occur. It is best to go to the hospital for a diagnosis and rule out the possibility of other diseases.

1. Genital warts, also known as genital warts, are common in men on the coronal sulcus, glans, foreskin, frenulum, and urethral orifice, and rarely on the body of the penis. 0.5%~5% of male genital warts can spread from the urethral opening to the urethral mucosa. Male homosexuals have 5 to 7 times more perianal and intraanal warts than penile warts, which can spread to the rectal mucosa. The humidity in these areas provides a more suitable environment for HPV infection. Warts in the anus and rectum may cause pain and a feeling of tenesmus. Female warts often occur on the labia majora, labia minora, and clitoris, and can also be seen on the perineum. About 1/3 of them are accompanied by vaginal warts, and 6% to 20% are accompanied by cervical warts. There are no obvious symptoms in the early stages of vaginal and cervical warts, but in the late stages, there may be increased vaginal discharge and bleeding after sexual intercourse. Genital warts in women are often more damaging than those in men due to stimulation from vaginal discharge. Especially in pregnant women, genital warts are more obvious and larger, which may be related to changes in hormone metabolism.

Since genital warts are a sexually transmitted disease, during treatment, you should avoid sexual intercourse to prevent cross infection. You should also avoid eating raw, cold, spicy and irritating foods such as alcohol, raw onions, ginger, garlic, seafood, beef and mutton. At the same time, you should pay attention to regular work and rest schedules, participate in appropriate physical exercise, avoid stress, staying up late, bad emotions, etc. The reason is that these bad habits often lead to reduced body immunity and affect the treatment effect.

2. The average incubation period of syphilis is 3-4 weeks, after which the typical symptoms of primary syphilis appear, namely, a small red papule or nodule appears at the site of spirochete invasion, which later manifests as erosion and forms a shallow ulcer. The ulcer is hard and painless, round or oval in shape, with clear boundaries, neat edges, and a dam-like protrusion. It is surrounded by dark red infiltration, has a characteristic cartilage-like hardness, a flat base, and no pus. A fibrin-like film is attached to the surface, which is not easy to remove. If squeezed slightly, a small amount of serous exudate may be produced, which contains a large number of Treponema pallidum and is an important source of infection. This type of damage is called chancre.

The treatment of syphilis is mainly controlled treatment with penicillin, and daily care is provided in conjunction with drug treatment. First of all, patients should have a good attitude, build up confidence to face the disease, pay attention to rest and sleep in life, and avoid spicy and stimulating food. Keep the affected area clean and hygienic, and apply some external medication when necessary. Sexual intercourse is prohibited during treatment to avoid infection and aggravation of the condition.
