Female body weight

Female body weight

Generally speaking, girls have less body hair than boys, but some girls have extraordinarily more body hair, even more than boys, which may be due to genes from their parents. Congenital factors cannot be changed, but acquired factors are a bit regrettable. Nowadays, more and more girls like to shave their hair. The more they shave, the longer the hair will grow and the harder it will become. Staying up late often may cause excessive estrogen secretion in women, leading to increased body hair.

First, it may be inherited from parents. Another possibility is the "atavism" phenomenon, that is, the so-called "hairy man", but the probability of its occurrence is extremely low.

In addition to congenital reasons, there are various acquired reasons that cause an increase in androgen in women's bodies, leading to an imbalance in the ratio of estrogen and androgen. In addition to hirsutism, it can also cause a variety of female diseases.

1. Ovarian lesions: The most common is bilateral polycystic ovary syndrome. It is mainly caused by the hypothalamus's regulatory disorder of pituitary function, or the lack of certain enzymes in the ovaries themselves. When suffering from this disease, in addition to not ovulating, 70% of patients have excessive hair on the lips, areola, forearms, calves, etc. Ovarian tumors may also appear hirsutistic.

2. Adrenal lesions: Adrenal gonadal syndrome, adrenal cortical tumors, Cushing's syndrome, etc. can all increase the level of male hormones in the human body and cause hirsutism.

3. Pituitary lesions: The pituitary gland secretes various gonadotropins, which play an important coordinating role in various hormones in the body. When there are lesions in the pituitary gland, such as acromegaly, pituitary tumors, etc., it can lead to hirsutism.

4. Brain and hypothalamic lesions: such as multiple sclerosis, obesity, encephalitis, etc., may also cause hirsutism.

Although the consequences of hormonal imbalance are serious, there is no need to worry too much. Male hormones also exist in the normal female body, and most of the hirsutism is not caused by disease. If the hair increases within a short period of time, you should seek medical attention in time to rule out the possibility of disease.

Patients suffering from hypertrichosis have increased and dense hair. Hirsutism can be divided into physiological and pathological types. You don’t need to worry about physiological hirsutism, but if it is pathological, you should go to the hospital for treatment in time, because excessive male hormones are not good for women. The specific manifestations of pathological hirsutism are: thick hair growing around the navel, chest, inner thighs, around the lips, etc., or the eyebrows becoming thicker and thicker.
