It needs to be treated in time and kept clean.

What is the reason for the growth of fleshy bumps on female genitals?

Genital warts have an incubation period of more than three months. As the disease spreads, many small papules of varying degrees may appear in the genital area, and then they will change, gradually increasing in size and number, growing into nipple-like, cauliflower-like, and cockscomb-like growths. I believe no one likes to see them, and there will be pedicles at the roots. The surface of the warts is mainly white, pink, and dirty gray. At the same time, the disease will also cause itching, burning pain, and foul odor. These are the early symptoms of genital warts.

Clinical manifestations

Female patients are greatly harmed by genital warts. When genital warts occur on the vulva of women, the most typical symptom is that there are very few soft and tiny pink papules in the early stage of the disease. Then, as the disease progresses, they will further increase in number and size, and the papules will merge or overlap with each other. The surface looks very uneven, like a wart. Because some areas are very humid and hot and have chronic irritation, the warts will grow rapidly and eventually become shapes of different sizes, such as nipple-shaped, cauliflower-shaped, cockscomb-shaped or mushroom-shaped. These warts are very soft and will bleed easily when touched.

During the onset of genital warts, some patients produce white, dirty or red secretions that soak into the surface of the warts, causing great inconvenience to the lives of female patients. The root of the wart is very narrow and has a stalk. The surface is also very moist, and there is often exudation, erosion, and skin damage. At the same time, there are very purulent secretions pushed inside the cracks, so bacterial infection is very likely to occur, and there is also a very strong foul odor. The symptoms women feel are that the affected area is very itchy, with a burning sensation or a feeling of pressure.

examine

1. Acetic acid white test

Apply 3-5% acetic acid to the wart for 2-5 minutes and the lesion will turn white and slightly raised. Anal lesions may take 15 minutes. The principle of this test is the result of protein coagulation and whitening with acid. The keratin produced by HPV-infected cells is different from that produced by normal uninfected epithelial cells, and only the former can be decolorized by acetic acid. The acetic acid white test has a high sensitivity in detecting HPV and is better than conventional testing in observing histological changes. However, false positives occasionally occur in cases of epithelial thickening or traumatic abrasions, and false positive blanching signs appear ill-defined and irregular.

2. Immunohistological examination

The peroxidase antiperoxidase method (PAP) is commonly used to show viral proteins in condyloma acuminatum to prove the presence of viral antigens in wart lesions. When HPV protein is positive, a weak red positive reaction may appear in the superficial epithelial cells of genital warts.

3. Histochemical examination

A small amount of lesion tissue is taken to make a smear and stained with specific anti-human papillomavirus antibodies. If there is viral antigen in the lesion, the antigen and antibody will bind in the peroxidase antiperoxidase (PAP) method and the nucleus can be stained red. This method is highly specific and rapid, which is helpful for diagnosis.
