Three Chinese medicines for milk recovery

Three Chinese medicines for milk recovery

For babies, the best food is mother's milk. Old people say that children who grow up with breast milk are smarter and have faster intellectual development than those who grow up with milk powder, because mother's milk is the purest, natural and pollution-free food. But sometimes, mothers have to stop breastfeeding because mothers always need to go to work. So what are the three traditional Chinese medicines that can stop milk production for mothers?

Breast milk is the most ideal food for babies. It not only contains all the nutrients necessary for the growth and development of babies, but its composition and proportion will also change with the age of the baby, that is, it changes in sync with the baby's growth to adapt to the needs of the baby at different stages.

The rich immune substances contained in breast milk can protect babies from various pathogens and enhance their disease resistance. In addition, the frequent skin contact between mother and baby, the exchange of emotions, and the mother's caress and care during breastfeeding are all beneficial to the child's psychological and social adaptability. Therefore, more and more young parents are deciding to return to nature and use breast milk to feed their babies. However, they have various concerns, such as being afraid that their milk is not enough to meet the baby's needs, or feeling that their milk secretion seems to be decreasing, and they lack confidence in whether they can persist in breastfeeding for 4 to 6 months. How to relieve these worries and increase milk secretion?

First of all, we should understand that in addition to the fact that the placenta is delivered and the inhibitory factors are removed, the most critical point of postpartum lactation is that the mother's nipples are stimulated by the baby's sucking action. The sensory impulses generated by the baby's sucking on the nipple are transmitted to the hypothalamus, which then stimulates the anterior and posterior pituitary gland, respectively, increasing the synthesis and release of prolactin and oxytocin, which act together on the breasts to cause the secretion and ejection of large amounts of milk. Prolactin mainly promotes the secretion of milk, while oxytocin (in addition to promoting uterine contraction) promotes the ejection of milk (milk production). Due to the baby's frequent sucking, milk secretion is continuously produced and increased, which can fully meet the baby's needs.
