Unilateral ovarian ovulation

Unilateral ovarian ovulation

We all know that every healthy woman has two ovaries in her body, one on each side. The function of the ovaries is mainly to discharge eggs. After the conception process, the eggs and sperm can combine to make the woman pregnant. If a woman has gynecological diseases and only one ovary ovulates, the chance of pregnancy will be very small. So what should a woman do if she ovulates on one side?

Normally, the ovaries on both sides work quite consciously, far beyond the capabilities of humans. They do not take shortcuts or work without putting in effort. Instead, they divide the work and cooperate with each other. They will not leave the front line if they are slightly injured, but will retire if they are seriously injured.

To put it in more detail, if a woman's ovarian function is normal, the ovaries on both sides will take turns to ovulate. One ovary will work for one month and rest for one month, while the other ovary will rest for one month and then work for another month. On average, one ovary works for six months a year and rests for half a year.

Under what circumstances would the ovaries take a short break for a month?

When a woman's bilateral ovaries are ovulating, their working attitude and enthusiasm are unquestionable, but if the following two situations occur, there will be a short break.

1. Minor injury to the ovary, such as mild pelvic inflammatory disease or adnexitis;

2. When there is a problem with the ovarian superiors, for example, the brain is suddenly in an emergency state, which causes hypothalamic-pituitary dysfunction and loss of normal command ability to the subordinate ovaries;

If the above two situations occur, menstruation will not come on time that month, and one month later, menstruation will return to normal.
