If there are no protective measures after having sex and it is not the safe period, pregnancy is inevitable. In the early stages of pregnancy, the fertilized egg must first implant. Implantation bleeding usually occurs, but it varies from person to person, and some people do not have this phenomenon. Implantation bleeding is different from menstruation, and it lasts for a longer period of time and has a smaller amount. Then implantation is accompanied by a drop in body temperature, generally only a few tenths of a degree, but not all pregnancies will experience a drop in temperature during implantation, as follows: 1. A woman's menstrual cycle is generally 21-35 days (about 28 days on average), which is divided by the ovulation day. The day after ovulation, the corpus luteum is formed in the ovary and the secretion of progesterone will cause the body temperature to rise by 0.3-0.6 degrees Celsius, causing the body temperature to fluctuate between high and low phases. When the temperature transitions from low temperature to high temperature, an extremely low temperature will occur. The day when the extremely low temperature occurs is the ovulation day. The high temperature period lasts about 12-16 days (14 days on average). When you find that the body temperature suddenly drops one day during the high temperature period (about the 6th to 10th day after ovulation), and then rises significantly on the second day, this sudden low temperature is the implantation cooling. 2. It is not certain whether everyone will experience a cooling phenomenon during implantation, nor is it certain that the day of a sudden cooling is the implantation day, and it is even less certain how much the temperature will drop, as this should vary from person to person. But when your high temperature period goes beyond 16 days and enters 18 days, it is almost certain that you are pregnant. 3. As for the feeling of implantation, everyone has a different reaction, whether it is abdominal pain, bleeding, low temperature, or breast swelling, these cannot be used as an absolute basis. 4. Women’s reproductive hormones are more complex and are always changing, so their basal body temperature will fluctuate. The basal body temperature of a normal woman is based on the ovulation day, and is low at first and high at the end, which is the so-called biphasic body temperature. However, there are also many women who have never measured regular changes in body temperature. 5. The change in body temperature is because the fluctuation of progesterone stimulates the body temperature regulation center, causing the basal body temperature to increase or decrease. However, in some women, the body temperature regulation center is not sensitive to the response of progesterone. Although the progesterone is fluctuating, the body temperature does not rise or fall much and always remains at a constant temperature! Therefore, there are many uncertainties in judging whether ovulation has occurred based solely on basal body temperature. To know for sure whether ovulation has occurred, many other methods must be used. |
