When mothers are breastfeeding their babies, there are often many reasons that cause damage to their breasts. The most common situation is mastitis. When suffering from mastitis, mothers will feel fever, pustules will grow on their breasts, and there will also be pain, redness and swelling. At this time, timely treatment should be sought to prevent the condition from becoming more serious. What are the symptoms of mastitis? Symptom 1. The early symptoms of acute simple mastitis are mainly breast pain, local high skin temperature, tenderness, and the appearance of hard nodules with unclear boundaries and tenderness. Symptom 2. In acute suppurative mastitis, the local skin becomes red, swollen, hot and painful, with obvious nodules and more tenderness. At the same time, the patient may experience chills, high fever, headache, weakness, rapid pulse and other general weakness. At this time, swollen lymph nodes may appear in the armpits, which are tender and the white blood cell count in blood tests may be elevated. In severe cases, sepsis may occur. Symptom 3. Abscess formation is caused by ineffective treatment measures or further aggravation of the disease, local tissue necrosis and liquefaction, and infection foci of varying sizes merge together to form an abscess. Abscesses may be unilocular or multilocular. Superficial abscesses are easy to detect, while deeper abscesses are less noticeable and difficult to detect. Causes of breast cancer. Cause 1: Acute mastitis is an acute suppurative disease of the breast, generally caused by Staphylococcus aureus infection, and is more common in primiparas during the lactation period. There are two main causes of acute mastitis. The first is that milk stasis is most likely to occur when the breastfeeding method is improper, the milk flow is not smooth, the mammary duct is blocked, etc. Because milk is rich in nutrients, it can easily become a breeding ground for bacteria. The second cause of acute mastitis is that in the case of nipple rupture, nipple deformity or nipple trauma, bacteria can retrograde from the nipple into the breast and spread to the mammary gland, causing infection. Reason 2: There are two reasons for chronic mastitis: The first cause of chronic mastitis is the improper treatment of acute mastitis, such as improper use of antibiotics; the second cause of chronic mastitis is that the onset of the disease is a chronic inflammatory process, mostly due to poor milk discharge and milk stasis forming nodules. The characteristics of chronic mastitis are slow onset, long course, difficulty in healing, and long-term disappearance; lumps can be felt in the breast, with lumps as the main manifestation. The lumps are hard in texture, with unclear boundaries and tenderness. They can adhere to the skin, but the lumps do not rupture and are not easy to form pus or dissipate. There is no typical redness, swelling, heat and pain in the local breast, and systemic symptoms such as fever, chills, and fatigue are not obvious. |
