Menstruation is a natural reaction of women. This reaction is healthy and normal. Girls will take many measures when menstruation comes, such as drinking brown sugar water to replenish blood. There will be some complications when menstruation comes, such as lower abdominal pain, headache, etc. Different people will have different situations. And their pain levels are also different, so how to relieve menstrual pain? 1. Stay warm: Drink a cup of hot drink or apply a hot water bottle to your lower abdomen to warm your body. Keeping the body warm can accelerate blood circulation, effectively relieve uterine spasms and pelvic congestion, thereby achieving a pain-relieving effect. 2. Acupressure: The feet contain some acupressure points, which are believed to be connected to the qi channels in the pelvic area. Gently pinch with your thumb and fingertips, and move up along the Achilles tendon to the calf muscle. Acupressure for a few minutes can effectively relieve pain. 3. Do yoga: Yoga can also relieve dysmenorrhea. Kneel down with your knees bent, sitting on your heels. Rest your forehead on the ground and stretch your arms out at your sides. Maintain this position until you feel uncomfortable and your dysmenorrhea symptoms are relieved. 4. Moxibustion: Select acupoints such as Sanyinjiao and Zusanli, and hang the moxa stick at a height of about 3 cm from the acupoints to make the local area warm without burning pain. Massage each acupoint for about 10-15 minutes, until a blush appears on the skin. 5. Take painkillers: When menstrual cramps begin, women can take painkillers with milk or food. The painkillers take effect in about 20-30 minutes and last for 12 hours. This method is not recommended for long-term use. If you have abdominal pain during menstruation, you should avoid all raw, cold, indigestible and irritating foods, such as chili peppers, raw onions, raw garlic, pepper, strong liquor, etc. During this period, you can eat some sour foods, such as sauerkraut, vinegar, etc. Sour foods can relieve pain. In addition, people with dysmenorrhea should keep their bowel movements regular, whether before or after menstruation. Eat more honey, bananas, celery, sweet potatoes, etc. as much as possible. Constipation can induce dysmenorrhea and increase pain. Women who experience abdominal pain during menstruation should have a diversified diet and not be picky eaters. They should regularly eat vegetables and fruits that have the effect of regulating qi and promoting blood circulation, such as shepherd's purse, orchid root, coriander, carrots, oranges, bergamot, ginger, etc. People who are weak and have insufficient qi and blood should eat foods that replenish qi, blood, liver and kidneys regularly, such as chicken, duck, fish, eggs, milk, animal liver and kidneys, fish, beans, etc. |
