Yellow jelly-like discharge

Yellow jelly-like discharge

Yellow jelly-like discharge may be caused by candidal vaginitis or pelvic inflammatory disease. It is normal to have yellow jelly-like discharge during pregnancy.

1. Fungal vaginitis: Fungal vaginitis is mainly an inflammation caused by Candida. Due to the stimulation of inflammation, vaginal secretions will increase and become yellow and thick, so yellow jelly-like secretions will appear. Clotrimazole suppositories can be placed deep in the vagina, and fluconazole can be taken orally if necessary.

2. Pelvic inflammatory disease: Pelvic inflammatory disease is mainly caused by pathogen infection, which will cause symptoms of increased vaginal discharge. If not treated in time, there will be a large amount of purulent secretions in the vagina, and the amount will increase, so yellow jelly-like secretions will appear. Patients with pelvic inflammatory disease need to take antibiotics under the guidance of a doctor, such as levofloxacin, cefuroxime, etc., which can eliminate pathogens in the body and relieve symptoms.

3. During pregnancy: In the late stages of pregnancy, women will secrete a yellow jelly-like secretion on their cervix. This is a special protective substance produced during pregnancy, also called cervical mucus plug. The appearance of this secretion indicates that delivery is imminent, and you should go to the hospital for relevant examinations and prepare for delivery.

Pay more attention to personal hygiene and wash the vulva with warm water every day.
