Does pelvic effusion easily lead to ectopic pregnancy?

Pelvic effusion is now suffering from more and more people. After it occurs, patients will feel various abnormalities in their bodies. However, the reason why most patients have pelvic effusion is physiological, and basically it will not cause ectopic pregnancy. However, this disease must be treated in time. If this disease occurs for a long time, it will still directly affect the patient's future pregnancy and reduce the chance of pregnancy.

Pelvic effusion is mostly physiological effusion, such as that which can be formed after ovulation. It will not cause ectopic pregnancy and generally does not require treatment. If accompanied by fever, abnormal leucorrhea, and obvious abdominal pain during gynecological examination, pelvic inflammatory disease should be considered, which may cause ectopic pregnancy. The pathogen found in the leucorrhea examination should be treated with medication in a timely manner. Ectopic pregnancy is mostly caused by an inflammatory reaction in the fallopian tube and its surrounding organs, which affects the movement of the fertilized egg to the uterus and implantation in the fallopian tube!

Pelvic fluid accumulation can cause infertility. Many patients are relatively aware of such dangers, but they cannot unilaterally affirm that the disease will lead to infertility. Patients should make judgments based on their own conditions. Some patients who have been delaying the disease and have not received effective treatment are prone to pelvic adhesions and fallopian tube blockages, thereby causing infertility. Some patients also have symptoms such as lower abdominal pain, lumbar pain, and increased leucorrhea, which have a serious impact on the patients' lives.

Causes of ectopic pregnancy

1. The patient has undergone fallopian tube surgery due to fallopian tube disease, or has undergone fallopian tube recanalization surgery after tubal ligation. Additionally, if you have had pelvic or abdominal surgery, you are at increased risk for an ectopic pregnancy, although the likelihood is much smaller. In rare cases, women who have had a tubal ligation may still become pregnant, but there is a 25-50% chance that the pregnancy will be ectopic.

2. An ectopic pregnancy has occurred. After one ectopic pregnancy, the chance of another ectopic pregnancy is about 1/10. If you have experienced 2 or more ectopic pregnancies, the probability of having another ectopic pregnancy will increase to at least 1/4.

3. Upper reproductive tract infection, medically known as "pelvic inflammatory disease", abbreviated as PID. PID is usually caused by untreated sexually transmitted infections (STIs), such as gonorrhea or chlamydia, and sometimes has no symptoms. Even if you don't think you have PID, having any of these STDs increases your risk of an ectopic pregnancy.

4. Fertility issues. Infertility is often caused by damage to the fallopian tubes, so if you are trying to get pregnant while being treated for infertility, the chances of an ectopic pregnancy are higher than average.

5. If the pregnant woman's mother took DES (diethylstilbestrol, an estrogen drug) when she was pregnant with her, it may also cause problems, including abnormalities in the pregnant woman's fallopian tubes and uterus, which will increase the risk of ectopic pregnancy.

6. Suffering from endometriosis, this gynecological disease may cause scarring and affect the fallopian tubes, thereby increasing the possibility of ectopic pregnancy.
