Diseases that women should be alert to when their hands become numb

We all know or have similar experiences, that is, if the hands are placed in a weight-bearing state for a long time, they will become numb. Under normal circumstances, the symptoms will be relieved and disappear after a short rest, but if the hands are numb without special circumstances, you need to be vigilant, because this is often a signal from the body's health. For women, it is more important to pay attention. The following are the diseases that women should be alert to when their hands are numb!

There are many reasons for numbness in the hands. If it occurs abnormally, women need to be alert to the following diseases:

1. Cervical spondylosis. Due to a series of pathological changes in cervical spondylosis, the spinal nerve roots may be compressed, stretched and stimulated, causing numbness and swelling of the fingers. It manifests as numbness and swelling on the radial side or ulnar side, or on all five fingers, and may be accompanied by decreased grip strength. Cervical spondylotic radiculopathy can cause pain in the neck, back, head, upper limbs, and hands. The pain is usually dull, sore, burning, or a dull pain, or an electric shock-like pain.

2. Transient ischemic attack (TIA), also known as transient cerebral ischemia or mini-stroke, is common in the elderly who suffer from hypertension, hyperlipidemia and other diseases. Transient ischemic attack is a common neurological disease and accounts for 7% to 45% of ischemic cerebrovascular diseases. Moreover, 4 to 8% of patients will experience cerebral infarction in the first month after TIA.

3. Stroke. Stroke patients often experience symptoms such as headache, dizziness, limb numbness, and tongue swelling. Numbness and swelling in the fingers are one of the symptoms, but it is often accompanied by numbness in the arms and other parts of the body.

4. Diabetes. Diabetes can cause many complications. If peripheral nerves are diseased, there will be symptoms such as numbness and abnormal sensation in the limbs.

5. In rheumatoid arthritis, numbness and swelling of fingers is one of its early manifestations. If it is accompanied by joint swelling and pain, this is more likely. If the skin on the face and fingers becomes hard, it may be scleroderma.

Abnormal physical symptoms are often signs of illness, and we need to pay great attention to them. Only by keeping healthy can we have the capital to strive for our careers!
