Iohexol contrast agent is a liquid that is often used in hysterosalpingography clinically to observe whether the fallopian tubes are unobstructed. Conception is required three months after the operation. It can be seen that this contrast agent has certain side effects, especially for the fetus. In addition, patients with hyperthyroidism, asthma, decreased kidney function, severe diabetes, etc. are advised to stay away from it, otherwise it is easy to develop high-risk symptoms. 1. Risk factors of iohexol contrast agent 1. History of allergy to contrast media 2. Allergic constitution, such as eczema, urticaria, neurodermatitis, asthma, food and pollen allergy 3. Hyperthyroidism, goiter 4. Patients with severe cardiovascular diseases (such as heart failure, coronary artery sclerosis, recent myocardial infarction, long-term arrhythmia and severe hypertension, etc.) 5. Weakness and dehydration 6. Severe kidney disease 7. Severe liver disease 8. Severe diabetes 9. Severe lung diseases (respiratory insufficiency, pulmonary hypertension and pulmonary embolism, etc.) 10. Brain injury (recent cerebrovascular injury, convulsion, craniocerebral trauma) 11. Paraproteinemia (Waldenstrom's disease, macroglobulinemia, plasmacytoma) 12. Pheochromocytoma (risk of hypertensive crisis) 13. Elderly persons over 65 years old, infants and young children 14. Excessive Anxiety 15. Recent use of contrast media 16. Use of beta-receptor blocking drugs: may cause bronchospasm and difficult-to-treat bradycardia 17. Long-term use of calcium ion antagonists: prone to cause bradycardia and vasodilation 18. Treatment with interleukin-2 and/or interferon 19. Use of biguanide hypoglycemic drugs (may cause renal insufficiency and lactic acidosis) 20. Sickle cell anemia 2. Drug Interactions The following drugs may interact with iohexol: 1. Antidepressants, tricyclics; CNS stimulating drugs; monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors: phenothiazines; isothiazine and other drugs; although there are no special reports on their combined use with iohexol, there are reports that other non-ionic contrast agents can cause major seizures in patients when used simultaneously with phenothiazines due to lowering the threshold for psychosis. 2. The simultaneous use of β-adrenergic receptor blockers and iohexol may increase moderate to severe allergic reactions and aggravate hypotension. 3. Drugs that cause hypotension may cause severe hypotension when used simultaneously with iohexol. 4. Oral cholecystography contrast agents may increase the nephrotoxicity of iohexol. 5. Interleukin-2 can cause delayed allergic reactions to contrast agents, such as hypersensitivity, fever, rash, etc. 6. When nephrotoxic drugs are used simultaneously with iohexol, the possibility of nephrotoxicity will increase. |
